Set of 2 Outdoor Vinyl Clear Chair Furniture Protector Cover

I bought this two-pack to protect a straight back upholstered chair from my kitties' claws. Since she uses this chair all the time, I was hesitate to have a cover custom made as her claws could pierce that as well as any other plastic (and I wanted plastic so I could see the pretty upholstery). Anyway, I worried ordering this since my chair did not have arms and in the photo it looked like the covers might have a whitish tint. Well, my worries were in vain! I gathered up the excess in back since the chair doesn't have arms and taped it together. The back doesn't show plus the fold over isn't that obvious. Once I pulled the excess over, the plastic fits the chair perfectly AND I can see the lovely print through the plastic. The whitish tint does not hinder the view. All in all a win-win for both me and kittie. The plastic is strong so it will take a while for her claws to ruin it and I get to enjoy the colorful upholstery. The stitching holding the plastic together is well done and so far seems really strong--no pulling out. Another thing to like is that you get two so that when this one gets tacky, I can replace it. Great purchase, highly recommended and I'm totally happy with this very reasonable and useful purchase. Will re-order as needed. I'm also thinking this would work great to protect outdoor furniture which is what it was meant for.

UPDATE: After a few months on my often windy terrace, the elastic stretched from being blown and no longer held securely; I had to run downstairs to retrieve one cover that had blown off. Solution: bought Scotch Fasteners in the Extreme strength -- like heavy duty velcro -- and I can now securely attach the vinyl covers to the legs of the chairs.ORIGINAL REVIEW:The vinyl seems to be the same thickness as what's used for a high-quality shower cap, and the construction is similar, with an elastic band all around the border. Easily stretches to fit chair. Without any velcro strap to tie it to a chair leg, I'm not yet sure how these will hold in a wind storm, but time will tell. Cosmetically, they do look much less bulky than the heavier covers that are not see-through; I am a little disappointed that they're not even more clear -- mine seem a bit less transparent than the product photo -- and the wrinkles still have not disappeared, but I'm hoping they'll go away in time as the cover stays stretched.

I actually bought these to cover my dining room chairs that have leather seats. I have a cat that loves to scratch, especially new furniture. Although she doesn't bother my leather sofa, when the new dining chairs came in, she immediately went to them focusing in on the nail heads that surround the seat and went to scratch. So I didn't want to start covering my six chairs with throws. These clear covers work just fine; easy to remove when I'm expecting company.

I like these covers for several reasons - they are not heavy or cumbersome to use, they protect my chairs from the weather while still allowing the patterns to show through. Of course, they are not as strong as the heavier dark green types but I prefer these even if I have to replace them more often. Living in a semi-tropical climate the sun and rain/windstorms are hard on anything exposed to the weather.I am quite satisfied with this product.

These are just what I was looking for: clear patio chair covers for a reasonable price. These are a fairly heavy gauge and fit perfectly on my cushioned chairs. I previously owned solid covers which presumably provide better protection from the sun than these clear ones, however it gave the whole patio an uninviting look and feel. These clear ones are very easy to remove and replace. I haven't had them long enough to comment on how long they'll last.

OMG! Expected something a little cheap that would "do the job" but the plastic/vinyl (whatever it is) feels really sturdy. The covers are neat over the chairs. If they last through the cold season, I'll have to remember to come back and give them the 5th star! But excellent quality for the price.

Nice product, love the fact that they are clear plastic and not the normal ugly green color. Could be thicker plastic to better stand up to the weather. Not bad for the price, beats dirty chairs!

These covers work well in keeping my padded outdoor furniture dry. Not sure how they would hold up in the winter in the Northeast so I will probably take them in.
