I AM IN LOVE!
I have THICK hair, but the strands themselves are baby fine. So it is VERY hard to get my hair to curl, let alone hold that curl. I've tried hot roller, rods, etc. and none of them worked for my hair. I saw reviews on these from people with hair like mine, so I thought I would give it a go. I am SO glad that I did. The curls are GORGEOUS and last all day and part of the next (if I'm careful how I sleep.) My hair reaches just above my natural waist when straightened, so I ordered the longest ones (75cm) but probably could have gotten away with the next size down. Because my hair is so thick I ordered two packages. Again, probably could have gotten away with one, but to keep the hair from being too thick in the sleeves, I did about 3/4" sections. I used a curl defining serum on the portion that went into the sleeve and argon oil on the upper part of the sections to help prevent frizzing.Tips and tricks:I've tried these three ways: sleeping in them, wearing them around, and with a dryer bonnet. The best for me was the bonnet, because it went so fast. Sleeping in them wasn't terrible uncomfortable, depending on how close to your scalp you place them. Though, it did leave weird kinks in my hair where it entered the sleeve. A little dap of water at those spots relaxed the kink considerably. When pulling sections into the sleeves, I've found it easiest to make sure the hair is fully saturated (almost dripping) to help it slide better. If not, it gets tangled inside the sleeve and the curl comes out weird or not shaped at all. When pulling hair through, make sure to keep the top squeezed open until all the hair is in place, or it will knot and it's a PAIN getting the wand out of the sleeve if it's tangled in hair.Make sure to keep the top squeezed open when dry and removing the hair from the sleeve, as well.I've discovered if you lightly twist the hair just above where you want the curl to start, it's easier to keep it in the hook when starting the sleeve. (Make sure to untwist when done or you'll get a weird kink.)The sleeves come vacuum packed, so open the container and lay them out a few hours before you want to use them to help them regain their shape. (I got tired of waiting so I just heated them up with a blow dryer and worked them over with my fingers and they were perfectly reshaped in about 3-5 minutes.)Positives:Very easy to use (once you get the hang of it)Defined, consistent curlsNo heat damageWorks on fine and thick hairNegatives:The wands are sturdy, everywhere except the joints *eye roll* (One broke half way through, and the other just wouldn't stay connected. I used duct tape on one (worked great) and super glued the other (broke again.))Have a weird plastic smell, but it does go away.Takes a fair amount of practice to make sure the hair isn't tangled while inserting into the sleeve.

Curls anyone?!
I've had the longer version of these & wanted the smaller ones for some time. These work great although a few of them had one the ends almost fused. Once I got them open with the wand, they worked as they should. I had great spiral curls for 2 days without using any product. I sleep with them overnight & as long as there's little to no humidity, my hair holds the curl great!

PERFECT FOR SYNTHETIC WIGS!!
I have a chin-shoulder length "Girl Mono" wig by Ellen Wille... and it kind of didn't really come with the oomph/curl pattern of some of my other Girl Mono wigs. So I figured I'd pick up a package of these 30cm curlforms and see if I could va-va-va-voom it... and omg... they worked like a charm!!!I pinned my wig to a canvas block head... sectioned it off by the weft areas and started putting them in on the bottom layer working up, alternating each curl form as I went (as in starting with the curl nearest the front facing away, next one the other way, etc, etc...). Not sure if that really matters, but I saw some videos saying to alternate the direction of the curls, so I do as I'm told lol.Once all the curl formers were in... (yes, I used them ALL!!!).... I took my travel steamer and steamed all around the curlforms... making sure to kinda get underneath them all too. And the beauty of synthetic wigs is you don't have to wait for it to dry... you just need to wait about 2 or 3 minutes until all the rollers are COOL, then take off the curlforms.I was shocked to see the beautiful curls!!!! I scrunched a bit, and then hung my wig upside down to fully dry. I sure gave some life to my beautiful synthetic wig! I highly recommend these. It took a few tries to get the hang of threading the hair through the curlforms... but once ya get the hang of it... easy peasy!! It was gasp... actually fun!! I am totally getting longer ones to do some straight styles I never wear!!! Curly girls rock!

Poorly made, do not buy!
I bought these for special occasions and there really hasn’t been an opportunity to use them with the pandemic and all, but I decided tonight to try them out. First of all, the sticks separate almost instantly when you attempt any pull and I have long hair. Oh dear gawd, what a pain in the butt. They send you several sticks to connect together based on your length and they all separate with the exception of the hook and the end piece. However, this gives you a short stick and no where near the length needed, so I had to improvise. Fine, let’s get this party started. Let just say, the hook kept catching on the inside of the weave of the circled and several times I had to stop and get my hair unhooked to start again. Good thing, there are several curlers because I had to toss 5 of them due to damage with the hook that kept catching. The idea was good, but the poor quality made these a bad idea. Don’t waste your money or time. Just put your hair around a tube sock, much better.

These were what i needed in my life
I have no patience for using rollers in my hair because I can never get it right. I’m a black woman with natural hair, and with the right products these did an amazing job of curling my hair….WITHOUT HEAT! It took a few times to get used to it, but once I got the hang of it was easy peasy. You don’t need to know how to do anything but part your hair the rest is a breeze. I highly recommend these.
