These pencils are great for sketching pictures. There aren't the best pencils but they do the job. This pack of pencils would also make a great for someone that like to sketch.

My niece really liked these and understands the difference between art pencils. She really liked these.

I was worried because I was always under the impression that beginners should always start with the more expensive products in order to get used to the way it "should" look. I have used the more expensive and it was a nightmare, nothing was even remotely possible because even light strokes broke the pencils. My daughters who both draw constantly (and very good with nearly every medium) brought these to my attention because they had the same issue. Their art teachers recommended these and I totally agree that they are truly awesome to work with and make the pictures just as detailed and vibrant (no matter what shading you use), so very easy and pleasurable to work with

I like the set, BUT i got 2 pencils 2 B instead one 2 B and 2 H. Please take care of this. I didnt use enough for make evaluation of the quality but first impression is ok.

not meant for beginners, would have been nice to have a bit more "instruction" included. also would have liked a pencil sharpener included as well
