What a lovely little globe.. easy to read all places and looks nice on the shelf

This looks good on my bookshelf and I love that it rotates in all directions. The map appears to be accurate. The only niggle is that the equator line looks like it has been stuck on with a transparent printed tape. It is shiny, in contrast to the globe which has a matt finish. However, as it a nice decorative piece I can put up with this as it is a good price compared to other globe brands.

Lovely globe, great size

After trying to find an attractive globe for a gift, that looks both stylish, well made and educational, became quite difficult but I was over the moon to find this lovely globe! Very nice, very pleased with it!

warning! The box packaging does clearly state what is inside so be careful if it is for a gift.After a lot of research and with some reservations given some other reviews I decided to try this as I really didn't want a plastic base or meridian or to have to assemble it either and this fitted the bill best.Thankfully the one I received seems well constructed. The top and bottom halves have been accurately joined and the equator strip is neatly applied and doesn't appear too bulky. The globe is sprung on its spindle and spins easily and the metal meridian and stand seem to have enough weight to make this a stable and solid feeling globe.The text is as legible as you can expect from a globe of this size and I haven't found any obvious misspellings. The 'English Channel' is definitely spelt correctly. I think generally the labelling is UK standard and the Falkland Islands are labelled as this (not the Malvinas).There are no white or unfinished patches as some other reviews of the Exerz brand not any sticky labels marking the base.On a personal note I am very glad to have opted for the 30cm model and the antique colourway is certainly attractive for an adult room and desk. I am not so sure for a child's version and a blue sea option would have been nice anyway.
