Was not able to find brightly colored item so I settled for this. It works works perfectly. Easy to read from a distance.

I liked the scene and the size.

I had a Taylor Thermometer hanging on the tree outside my door for the last six years until storm debris did it in (as they are plastic). So, this time I opted for the one with the Deer picture. So far the temperature is dead on - as was the previous one, so no complaints there. I like the deer picture, but one of the deer's antlers goes into the temperature scale at 0 degrees while the grass and back legs of the second deer go close and into the scale at 90-100 degrees. With a light blue background between 0-85 degree (with two dee heads) - BLACK was not the best choice for the pointer. Other companies use a clear point with a red tip when then have a color-picture background or a completely red pointer to make it easier to read. To be be fair its not bad between 20-80 degrees at about 20 ft. from the thermometer. The last thermometer had a black outer rim which held up very well, but I'm not sure how white plastic will endure over the same time period. But I do like the thermometer and Taylor has always been accurate, reliable, and fairly priced in my opinion.

After a few days, it was working just fine. I really like the deer on it, since we live in a log cabin with woods nearby.

I purchased this in January of this year for use on my outdoor back porch. It was placed within 6 feet of a digital sensor for my indoor unit which is very accurate. After over 30 days of mixed temperatures this unit seems to the 60's, just like the product photo on Amazon. That is, it's either 66 degrees or 60 degrees. Nothing more or less, no matter the actual outside air temperature. For example, yesterday it was unseasonably warm at 72 degrees, but this unit said 66 degrees and today it's 50 on the nose at 3PM but according to the Springfield, it's 60. I wanted an inexpensive unit for out back and I got one. Never again.

UPDATE: IT DOESN'T WORK PERIOD! I'M RETURNING! Since, I bought this for myself and it will be outdoors, I won't return it, BUT had I bought it for a gift,, I'd been very disappointed. The plastic face is all scratched like it was dragged on the concrete!! I tried to buff it out but to no avail. Since you can't see it from a distance, I will keep it as opposed to return it, I'm just glad it wasn't a gift!!!!!

Really love how it looks, it’s pretty outside. Keeps temperature quite accurately and is easy to see it through the window. Would be a very nice gift.

This thermometer was a gift, but it is big and beautiful, you can read the large numbers from adistance. Beautiful picture, works both outside and inside as indicated. I believe it to be fairly accurate.
