Tasty but fragile
I love these crackers, because they are crisp and crunchy and tasty, something I have missed when I had to go gluten-free. I have a great recipe for "paleo" crackers, but when I don't have the time or inclination to bake them, it's nice there is something tasty and crunchy like these. A couple of things should be noted. One is that, like all gluten-free baked goods I have yet seen, they are much more expensive than their conventional wheat-based counterparts. This can be a good thing in that this may prompt you to eat less of them and pay attention to them more; no more mindless shoveling into your mouth. But if you don't have a NEED to be gluten-free, I would say they are not a great bargain. The other thing is just that when I bought these from Amazon, hoping to have a ready supply (at a nice price!) coming without wondering if my local store had them in stock, I found that once these arrived they were reduced nearly to crumbs. Tasty crumbs indeed, but useless for scooping hummus, which was what I wanted them for.

Do You Like CHEESE??? Then You Might Just Love THESE!!!
We tried Annie's Homegrown Organic Snack Mix Bunnies Cheddar, 5-Ounce (Pack of 6) first... I was inspired to buy them looking for snacks my 4 yr old granddaughter would more likely eat. She loves bunnies (don't all little girls?!)...But they were so delicious, I could eat almost a whole box in one sitting, by myself lol. For me, that is a ton of food in one sitting haha... From there though, I was inspired based off of reviews of these, to try these also. They are a close tie, for me... For my husband, these Van's are the better of the two. In my opinion, they are both worth trying!! They both remind me a bit of gold fish or cheez its... You just don't get real tired of them!If you like cheesey snacks, you will likely enjoy either of these....... When I was little, my family called me 'Mariam-Moosh', Moosh is Farsi for Mouse, because I loved cheese lol. So I may be slightly easy to please in this arena of crackers. Yeah. For sure.Smile. Salamati! (To Good Health!) ; )

My Favorite Gluten Free Cracker
I've been gluten free for several years, so as you can imagine, I've tried all sorts of gluten free foods. The Van's Fire Roasted Veggie crackers are HANDS DOWN the very BEST gluten free cracker I have tried. They're super flavorful and incredibly crispy. They're not too hard like some gluten free crackers, but they also have some substance (some others can be TOO light/airy...to the point that they're not even satisfying.) If you eat gluten free you also know how tricky texture can be on most gluten free items (meaning, breads, crackers, that sort of thing) and they have NAILED the texture on these crackers. I eat them with charcuterie and sometimes just on their own. They're that good! BOTTOM LINE: Try. These. Crackers!!!! :)

Delicious to the last crumb
The missing fifth star in this product rating is taken off for how I received my first shipment: in a bubble envelope. So, half the box was full of crumbs, albeit delicious crumbs, not crackers. These Van's crackers are a part of my Subscribe and Save order so I gave them one more shot, and this month's box arrived undamaged in one large package, along with the rest of my shipment. Four stars are still fair, however, for a flavorful, wholesome product. They're good for a quick fistful on the go or a party platter with small cheeses and spreads. I recommend.

Celiac's Answers to Cheese It's
I love Cheez It's and when I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease I was devastated and the number of my favorite snack foods that I could no longer eat. Every label I read started off with wheat flour! Crap, what's a girl to do. I'll tell you what she does, she gets on Amazon and searches gluten free foods and starts experimenting with different foods until she hits on something that really WOWS her taste buds just like Van's "Say Cheese!". These are the closest thing I've found to Cheez It's ever. I really like them better because they are not greasy, they are thinner and crispier and just have a better cheesier flavor. My granddaughter even likes them better than her goldfish. I find myself ordering more and more of my gluten free foods from Amazon and am so thankful they carry such a large variety!

Fixed now....Beware, the recipe is different. Not the same cracker now!
Edit, Well, just bought a box to check and they are back to the consistency I remember. Maybe the ones I complained about was a weird production batch. Thank you Van's! But what's with the price here? This works out to $3.41 a box. The local grocery sells them for $2.50.Previous review: What have you done Van's? You changed the recipe, didn't you? These were tasty, crunchy little crackers and now they are dense and chewy. No longer good! I bought 6 boxes of these terrible things, straight to the trash. So disappointed!

Great crunch, good flavor, a little poppy seed heavy
These taste like everything bagels - but a little heavy on the poppy seed. I would love a stronger garlic onion flavor because the poppy seed really dominates. That said, they are tasty and a satisfying crunch. My young children love them right out of the box. The ones that I've ordered from Amazon have been fresh, though one box was within a few months of the expiration date. We had to hustle on that shipment. All in all I'm satisfied with these.
