what i did'nt like was that it would not go to the resolution of 1140x900 with this on .but it did work just not at that resolution i did find out you can only use one computer at a time.other then that !! i like it work.ty

Avoid this unshielded adapter! The shields (metal parts) are all "open" (not wired to anything)
I purchased three of these Y-cables as a set in one order. All three tested bad.The good news is that all 15 pins are properly wired to each other in all 3 connectors, with nothing shorted, nothing open. The bad news is that the connector shields were all open, not wired to anything, so the cable is completely unshielded from interference (EMI/RFI), therefore inappropriate for many applications, including VGA monitors.Returned for refund.I am still looking for a DE-15 Y-cable on Amazon that has all 15 pins individually wired in parallel, PLUS the three shields. I haven't been able to find one.
