The Alorva document wallet is designed by firefighters which is probably the highest recommendation it could have, hence my purchase. In my view, it should be easier to find when you type in fireproof wallets on Amazon, I only found it by accident amidst so many other products. It is light, tough, well made and unlike most other products that I've seen has a bright stripe to enable easier recovery after the worst has happened.I looked at similar sized fireproof cases but they are extremely heavy due to their lead content. They can offer better protection to higher temperatures over longer periods but, for me, there are two big disadvantages. First, shifting a 15-30 kg case around creates risk of unintended back injury no matter how young and fit one might be. Second, too many have learned down the years and to their cost, that lead is seriously damaging to life. The best prevention advice is to remove lead containing products from the home. Some countries have regulations to alert people to lead containing products e.g. California's Proposition 65 warning and you will see this stated against some of these products if you hunt down the small print. They are probably terrific products but personally, I decided to avoid them.I hope that Alorva produce some different size products. It would be good to have a slightly smaller one in addition to the external wallet that is ideal for passports. I'd buy two or three of the smaller wallets separately if I could because they would be ideal for storing spare hard-drives.Customer care is superb, these people seem to be genuinely concerned about their customers. I guess that's what firefighters do! I'm not an expert in this field so I cannot make an informed recommendation but after researching the field, ordering and receiving the fireproof wallet, I am pleased with this product. Let's hope we don't have to test it!
