These bands are thick and have never snapped . I use them on things where ordinary rubber bands would break and disintegrate. They really are a super good quality.

For anything other than short-term use, I have found nothing better. I have yet to have one of these fail after years of hard use. I'm not using them for cooking so I can't speak to that use. Yes, they are much more expensive than ordinary "rubber" bands, but they can be used over and over in the harshest of conditions, and they continue to perform well, as in not losing their elasticity or breaking. I use the smaller ones as well as the jumbo size that are 1/2 inch wide, and they all perform the same. So where you want dependability and excellent performance, these are the way to go.

We use these to secure the legs and wings on the chicken for Rotisserie. They stay out and survive the cooking process so you can reuse them.

Nice price for the amount that you get. Gave 4 stars because several of them broke on the 1st use (glad so many included in the pack). Not as elastic as a rubber band, so you have to be careful with using over larger items (like a rotisserie chicken). Not as versatile as string, but not to hard to use. Very happy overall.

Ok, so it's not often that a product is SO multifunctional that I can take a hair elastic out of my ponytail and tie together a bunch of asparagus I'm about to steam, then rinse it off and put it back in my hair. These are, by far, the best hair elastics that can be put in your oven that I have ever come across. They last quite a long time, though I lose them in copious amounts, and occasionally they snap when I'm on the last one, so I order 3 packs at a time. If I run out early, I can always look in the cabinet where we store our snacks, because they also work wonders keeping chip bags closed. Really awesome stuff. Buy a bunch of packages and your hair will be less snaggy and will stay up all day, and then you can truss a chicken with your ponytail.

These high heat bands are perfect for holding your chopsticks or straws when running through the dishwasher. Mine kept falling through the silverware holders holes. Not now!! Unlike a regular rubber band these stand up to the heat and abuse of a dishwasher.

I’ve had these for three months and have had three break already. I bought them because I like to put them around open bags of vegetables in the freezer and other uses in the kitchen, although not cooking with them. Two broke straight out of the package and one broke when I was trying to stretch it around a 15oz can of food. I wouldn’t even try to use them on something like a turkey. I thought they would be more durable than rubber, but they’re not.

NO MORE TOOTHPICKS! I love using these for holding my stuffed chicken or pork chops closed instead of using toothpicks. I always felt that toothpicks can be so dangerous if you miss one before serving.

These work perfectly. I really struggle with butcher's twine to tie meat, especially chicken legs on a whole chicken. These do the job perfectly and bounce back to their original state after use. Excellent buy!

I have never broken one of these, but then I have never overstretched one. If you need big, fat ones, then get big fat ones! These are fairly small - maybe 10cm by 2mm - but they're excellent for the kind of thing one would use a regular rubber band for. I don't cook with them or anything like that, I just prefer them to grotty rubber bands. Highly recommended, within certain parameters of use.

Ich hasse die Steckerei mit Zahnstochern oder auch Metallspießchen bei Rouladen und habe mir diese Gummis als Alternative besorgt, da mir die ebenfalls in Frage kommenden Silikonschnüre alle zu lang waren. Ich war skeptisch, ob es mit diesen Gummis gut klappt, aber ich wurde eines Besseren belehrt: Rouladen damit zusammen zu halten geht so einfach und schnell, es hält perfekt, die Gummis lassen sich von den fertigen Rouladen leicht wieder entfernen und werden in der Spülmaschine blitzsauber. Ich bin begeistert und werde nie wieder mit Zahnstochern arbeiten.

Recently purchased an Air Fryer oven that has spit roast facility so purchased these stretch bands to make it easier for me to support & truss a chicken or meat products on the spit roast bar. Yes they worked ok to attach the chicken but within 5 to 10 minutes of cooking 2 of the bands had broken off. I did not over tighten the bands either. These bands are sold as suitable for high heat cooking. So I am now back to using baking string. As someone with hands that have a bad tremor I was not impressed
