Make fabulous cappuccino in your own kitchen with the cutest coffeemaker on earth!
For too long I fiddled with my electric espresso machine and its milk steamer. You know the drill: brewing the espresso, steaming and frothing the milk, and trying to time it so that both the coffee and the milk would be ready at the same time. Results were uneven; I would be rewarded with a really good cappuccino maybe 40% of the time. With Bialetti's new stove-top machine, I can count on a perfect cappuccino EVERY time. It is such a pleasure to get the result which is promised. I should mention that the machine makes approximately 14 oz. of cappuccino, enough to make two servings. Personally, I use one of those mugs that looks more like a soup bowl and drink every ounce myself. So far, it seems to me that 2% milk makes the best product, by the way. Do have a look at the video before you decide to buy. Using the Mukka Express is not at all difficult, but you MUST read and follow the directions exactly. I was a bit skeptical when I read that the pot becomes "seasoned," making better cappuccino as time goes by . . . but it does! My only regret is that I waited months before buying. Is it worth the price? Definitely.

First one did not work, when they sent the second it was perfection. Some tips....
The first one was a bust and very frustrating. I watched videos and asked questions but no luck. When they sent the replacement, I was ready to go and the first one came out perfect. My one tip is to heat up both the milk and water before putting them in. I do a minute in the microwave for each. If I use sugar free creamer, I heat that for 30 seconds. Stays hot a lot longer. I love the froth on the cappuccino option. I use this daily, and it is still in good shape six months later. Cleanup is not easy; it can get a film but doable. I hope they are not discontinuing because I would definitely buy this again in the future.

Poor outcome on a gas stove, major hassle not worth the money
I am a big fan of Bialetti Moka Express, I have two pots at home (2 and 6 cup) and use them regularly. Unfortunately the Mukka Express cappuccino maker was a complete failure for me. I have read and adhered to the manufacturer’s instructions, watched the instructional DVD, and read countless product reviews with helpful advice to make sure I can get it to work – to no avail. I gave this pot several tries by adjusting the flame strength and diameter; cooking times; and the size of coffee grounds, but the result was hardly ever good and never consistent. Below are the issues I encountered. Some of the water always remained in the bottom chamber. As a result, you did not get two cappuccinos, you got one. Also, the cappuccino was more like coffee flavored milk, because the would-be coffee was made with only some water, while the rest of it just sat below. If I cooked it longer, the coffee would burn before all the water was used. If I cooked it on a higher flame – the pot would leak coffee from the sides and/or the coffee burned. The pot would leak coffee if the flame was too high (instructions recommend medium to high flame), or the coffee was too finely ground (instruction recommend espresso ground coffee) despite of having a spotless rim and securely screwed on top. What helped was using coarser ground coffee or reducing the flame. But when the flame was reduced too much, not enough foam was produced and the milk wasn’t hot enough. With the flame higher, the foam and milk temperature were fine, but the coffee leaked all over my stove. It was impossible to get it right. Another minor hassle was cleaning the unit – the valve had to be cleaned immediately or it would clog up with milk. The unit is heavy and bulky, not the easiest to handle (screw, unscrew, wash) for someone with small hands (referring to a 2-cup Mukka). When the unit works as designed (I only got a decent outcome once), the coffee is pretty good, but not great. The cappuccinos are (1) rather small, and (2) rather weak. You’re better off using a regular Moka Express to make espresso and add foamed milk separately – which is what I had been doing before getting this unit and have been doing again since returning it, which I did after one week of trying. I think part of the issue is the design of American cooking ranges. In Europe, ranges have much smaller burners with more closely spaced flames with lower sitting grates, so the flame is more direct. In the US the grates are higher and the burners are bigger with more sparsely located flames. I found that my Moka pots perform better on a small camping stove, so the same might be true for the Mukka Express. If you have a ceramic or electric stove, this machine might work just fine. Still, I’d say get a regular Moka Express and a milk frother for a fraction of a price, and enjoy simpler and better cappuccinos and lattes.

Don't lose the enclosed beaker; great little device!
Great cappuccino maker! It takes time but it's worth it. Makes two very small cups for two or a mugful of cappuccino for one. I use Bialetti Moka grind Milano Morbido for the espresso and organic milk. Use the enclosed beaker to measure the water (it is a little under 150 ml of water for a gas stove) and about 150 ml of milk (prewarmed in the microwave for about 35 seconds, a necessary step). Don't rely on the measurement line inside the lower water pot -that's too much water and it will overflow on your stove. Trust me, it's about 150 ml of water and 150 ml of prewarmed milk (almond milk works well, too). Takes about 5 minutes on medium heat on a gas stove. After pouring out your cappuccino rinse the upper pot and fill with water to prevent milk proteins from clogging the device. I'm glad I got this. Hand wash and air dry everything. I found you get better froth and foam when all components start out dry. I've made consecutive cappuccinos and very little foam was made. But I didn't care because to me the coffee drink became a cafe au lait and I live in Louisiana so that's fine with me.

Nothing else like it anywhere!!
I have been a Mukka pot fanatic since I discovered it 10 years ago. Hey guys this is not a big expensive cappuccino machine so those of you who know their way around a kitchen with all its gadgets and functions will appreciate that and love how quickly and simply this baby works! I started out with the (now legacy) 1 cup with the glass top — yeah it was very well made and lasted me 5 years — then things started to change at the Bialetti company and they apparently didn’t want their “specialty” product. So sad because they really made the best. So yeah, unfortunately it’s not made or owned by Bialetti in Italy any longer. This particular piece is now Japanese owned and manufactured (I do not know where I’m searching!) I DO NOT find its quality to be anything like the original. You will be replacing this probably once every year+ I probably have it worse than most because our area has particularly hard water. It’s just the way it is folks. The cleaning part can be a real chore for some people so, for the rest of you who are not bothered by having to take your coffee maker apart and clean it each and every time that’s a bonus because you MUST clean it every single time. Just know this makes a fabulous cup of cappuccino you can’t beat the foam it makes! There’s literally nothing else like it out there. Yes, it is finicky to be sure however it’s just a great little stovetop cappuccino maker that’s got its quirks. I always keep ALL the spare parts on hand especially the steam valve because that will wear out. Make certain that after putting your coffee grounds in the hopper to clean any grounds on the lip and threads before screwing it down. It WILL LEAK all over everything if not! Heat your cream before adding it to the top. Be prepared with a paper towel in case your cream froths out of the top or spout — because it can! If your coffee is still not hot enough leave it on the burner and set timer for 1 to 1 1/2 min. or you will get it too hot or not hot enough — don’t guess! Put the Mukka Pot in the sink and run water over it to cool and fill the top so it’s easier to clean after you have finished your cup. I love mine and just had my pressure valve break so I ordered two more backup valves this time, they sell all the parts here on Amazon. You will have to search for them so use your research skills and get your backup parts. And lastly ….don’t leave this coffee maker unattended EVER — be careful and use your critical thinking skills please because this is under pressure and on a hot burner — be diligent and you will be rewarded! ☕️

Mesmerizingly pleasant coffee experience...
The Bialetti Mukka Express Cow-Print Cappuccino Maker is the best stove top cappuccino maker I’ve ever encountered… The Mukka Express is the "Super Hero" of moka pots. This Mukka Express stove top pot is an excellent alternative to spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars for a coffee machine… Not to mention, enjoying a homemade cappuccino is saving you from standing in line inside some highfalutin coffee shop putting up with an all knowing entitled attitude driven barista while paying for overpriced coffee. In fact, the cow print Mukka Express is my second Mukka Express Cappuccino Maker... My first one was the polished all aluminum pot. The only grievance I have is that the 2-cup Mukka Express is not quite the satisfactory amount of cappuccino for two persons, hence the purchase of a second pot. As long as you follow the very easy steps in preparing the Mukka Express Cappuccino Maker with the correct amounts of water and milk, I’m certain you’ll have a mesmerizingly pleasant erupting coffee experience. In the meantime, thank you for your time and for flying Lufthansa Airlines… Fred C.

The power of exposure
After James Hoffman featured this in an episode of his YouTube channel the prices for these skyrocketed. I was lucky, i feel like i got the last one for what they had selling. Anyway, this is an extremely fun little mocha pot. With regular milk it makes an amazingly pleasing foam for cappuccino and it also makes lattes. The difference is how the weighted streaming apparatus is set before being placed on the heat. It makes two small to medium cappuccinos or lattes (or one for me!). Cleanup isn't bad, but there are a few parts and it's not dishwasher safe, unless you don't care about the appearance of the aluminum. So if you're used to a traditional mocha pot, you'll know what to expect, with one extra piece to wash, the steaming head inside the top chamber. I really recommend it, if it's not too costly.

7 weeks- no coffee yet.
Ordered sept 25 - broken and unusable - replaced immediately - 2 question asked, no response. it is now seven weeks later and still unable to make coffee. Have previously used this product with no problem so not unfamiliar with process. Made 4 unsuccessful pots and threw them away. The forth today, although it took 9 minutes to heat appeared to work and then overflowed. Measurements were according to directions. Have customer service number 35774954, 71944 and 72374. I assume they have no intention of answering my questions which are no longer important. One more try and if it will not work, will request a refund. Finally got it to work. Overflow was due to overlooked missing ring on basket, so not pots fault .
