------*UPDATE*----------(1/27/2021) No regrets!! LO is 14 months and still loves this cake! Maybe even more than before. She has figured out how to "cut" it apart and put it back together, and loves "feeding" it to her baby dolls. With the amount of time she spends playing with it, it doesn't matter that it was a little pricey at first...it is beautiful and well-constructed, and we're getting our money's worth! ----------------------------------------------------------- I bought this cake for my LO's 1st bday party, since I didn't want her to have real candles yet. After paying 20 bucks for it, when it arrived I didn't even open it, but just looking at the box I could tell it was tiny. I read the reviews saying how tiny it is, but I was still disappointed. So, I started the process of returning it. BUT, before I actually mailed it back, I decided to give it to her anyway, using Bday money from her great-grandma towards it and ended up giving it to her on her birthday as we sang to her. My LO loves it! She takes all the pieces apart, and loves picking all the candles out of the cake, and replacing them. It is well built and really quite adorable! I'm pleased that she enjoys it so much. And it made for a cute birthday picture with her little cake. It has some small painting flaws that are not that noticeable, but I'm an artist, so I immediately notice that sort of thing. It gives it a hand-painted look which is charming...just wish that it was less expensive, as paying so much for it makes me more critical of the slight flaws. However, the construction is very good and the candles fit in the cake perfectly without falling over/out. Overall, great little cake, just a bit pricey. Nice if you have someone else's money to spend on it!

Great product, durable, great quality, cute and affordable! Went great with the movie theater stand we bought him! He enjoys playing with it! Would buy again!

Good quality, they are wood. The bags cute. My kids love playing grocery store and kitchen and these go great with both.

This is so teeny tiny. Was excited to get it and so disappointed when I opened it. Returned it same day. It is adorable wish it was larger

-A little smaller than expected, but that works great for storage. -the flame is made of felt, which actually is more realistic. -I don't like the little cake cutter it came with, it is also wood and painted, would probably scratch up over time. We just use a plastic knife that we already had. -I kinda suspect that it may be mdf vs solid wood. -I think it should have came with a little wooden cutting board, since it is a little flimsy once you remove a slice, thankfully we have a little wood cutting board that came with another play food set that works perfect. It did have a tiny bit of imperfections like little scratches and one velcro dot where they put too much glue and it had oozed out. It doesn't effect how well it sticks to the other slices though... the strawberry in the middle only really stays in if you have all the slices put together. It does fit in the candle holes though, so that may be fun for some kids. With how much my child loves playing resturant and blowing out candles... I would still buy this again.

The pretend play wooden candy is so cute. The shapes of the wood are that of real candy. It’s very high quality. I definitely think you get what you pay for. You also get a cute little pink/white burlap storage bag. The paint reminds me of 60s and Willy Wonka. I would definitely buy!

Such a cute cake!!! It took me a while to find a wooden play cake with out an obscene amount of pink. This one has awesome candles and a carrot centerpiece that are all removable. It's a very well made wooden cake.

This item is awesome. My daughter loves the colors and says they almost look like real candy from the store. We will enjoy playing with them for her cakes and candy shop.

Bought as a birthday gift for my 4 year old to go in her kitchen, she absolutely loves it. The candles have little felt ‘flames’. It is quite small - think individual pizza/kids pizza size. But it’s beautifully made and the little cake slice cuts it up well (I’ve had other things that Velcro together that you can’t get apart without pulling them).

Tolles kleines Törtchen aus Holz! Ein Muss für den Kaufladen oder/und die Spielküche. Unser Kleiner kann nicht essen, daher hat er zu seinem letzten Geburtstag wenigstens eine Torte aus Holz bekommen.... Seit Februar im Gebrauch, aber keinerlei Gebrauchsspuren. Sehr zu empfehlen. Der Preis ist leider recht hoch, aber es lohnt sich wirklich

My children fell in love instantly with this set. I will be buying a second because there is only one bag, and that caused the first argument haha! Then when my 17 month old realised she couldn't open the sweets it was game over haha! Everyone is now happily playing together, we all understand they are toys and not for eating. The quality is outstanding and I would definitely recommend the set to add to your role play collection.
