This was a gift for my daughter who just graduated with her environmental science degree and will be going for her masters in ornithology. She really did her research and spoke to many birders before choosing this scope. Luckily I beat her to it & was able to purchase it for her birthday. She says it’s super easy to use & she can get the perfect focus to quickly view a bird. She has had it for almost a year now & is still happy with the quality. She says she easily pops it into her day bag - it’s not too big or too heavy to carry around all day as a shore bird monitor.

The scope is large!!! Much larger than I supposed!!! The tripod must be sturdy and appropriate to hold the scope firmly in place. The optics seem phenomenal. A great buy for its price. I recommend it. I bought for birdwatching and it does work perfectly well! I'm happy with my new scope!

Great general purpose scope for the money. Image is bright and reasonably sharp image with limited fringing. As with most modestly-priced optics, the image quality degrades noticeably as you zoom from 16x to 45x, but even at the top magnification it's decent. Dual focusing knobs are nice to have, and the twist-up eyecup is effective. At this price you're not getting a Swarovski, Zeiss, or Kowa, but it meets or exceeds any reasonable expectation in the price range.

It was supposed to be new, but joints were damaged, practically broke in half at first use when installing it to the tripod, allowing moisture into the lens. Now I am reading the reviews and can see that some guys had the same issue in 2021 and 2002.

I purchased this scope and a solar filter to watch the 2017 solar eclipse. The scope is outstanding and came with a reasonable tripod mount. Optics are clear and the scope is easy to use. The scope is large and it doesn't come with a long term storage option. You'll wan to consider storage options if you plan to move it. This is also a great scope for viewing the moon - lots of light gathering and crystal clear views.

Purchased during Prime sale, so the cost was super low. Would have been satisfied at the normal cost. No frills, easy to use, and the glass is actually pretty clear. It is good enough to spot hits on paper past 500 yards, but haven't tried it out to 1000 yards yet. Super pleased with it!

This is a great long distance scope. You definitely need to practice sighting things in with it but once you have it’s super great. I like the two levels of zoom on the same knob. It attaches easily to a tripod.

I bought this scope for birding after seeing it on the National Audubon Society website. Honestly, at this price point I was expecting MUCH less from it. The photos and video were taken from my backyard using the Celestron cell phone adapter and my Galaxy Fold 4. The phone does best with about 2.5X zoom on it. The phone zoom generally takes care of the black circle you see around a lot of these type of photos. I'm beyond impressed and can't wait to get out into the field with it. Highly recommend this for a beginning birder like myself.

Voor deze prijs is dit een super spotter , scherpe beelden, maar dan wel met eigen astronomische oculairen van 1,25" diameter ( zoals die van een gewone telescoop) die ook kunnen gebruikt worden. Het bijgeleverde oculair is niet zo goed van kwaliteit. Voor de rest zeer tevreden!! Gebruik wel een stevig en stabiel statief ( vb Manfrotto)

La calidad de imagen es inmejorable, definición, enfoque e iluminación son perfectos, incluso con el zoom 60x es muy bueno, solo 2 puntos negativos, el plástico que lo recubre se comenzó a pelar un poco, no le doy un uso rudo en absoluto, y desde el anillo que lo sujeta al tripié hacia el lente grande se mueve, no se si sea solo el mio, es como si fuera enroscable pero solo gira, no ha afectado la imagen hasta ahora, incluso si miro mientras lo giro, pero me causa insertidumbre de que se pueda llegar a caer esa parte o algo, todo lo demás 10/10

Debo decir que estoy encantado con el telescopio. Hubiera comprado el Regal M2, pero se me iba de precio y bueno, compré el que podía pagar. Sin embargo, se trata de un telescopio muy bueno para lo que cuesta y es que por este precio no se puede pedir más. Mecánicamente todo funciona de manera correcta y fluida. A nivel óptico, muy buena definición en el conjunto cuerpo-ocular, con el óptimo en torno a x35, a partir de x50 baja bastante la luminosidad y la definición, aunque a x67 sigue siendo usable. Pocas aberraciones cromáticas, pero sí, algunas aparecen, ahí el Regal es donde marcará la diferencia. Cambiaré el ocular porque creo que con una inversión pequeña mejorará opticamente bastante. Adjunto unas fotos hechas con el móvil: el andarríos a unos 25 metros de distancia, el martín pescador a unos 110 metros y la luna... buscad en Google ;-)

This is an excellent spotting scope. Very clear and bright. Able clearly see the feathers on a group of ducks resting over 150 yards away. I put it on a decent camera tripod that works well terrestrially but is a little shaky when looking at night sky items. Very portable and very easy to use. Highly recommended.
