Duck Dodgers: The Complete Third Season

Mostly Good, but slightly disappointed.
Since I am a big fan of Duck Dodgers, I was so happy when the FINALLY put out season 3!! But I only gave this 4 stars, because I am a little disappointed. The first 2 seasons releases back in 2013 had a much slicker presentation. Interactive menus etc. Season 3 only has one menu and the text is very small. (Not all people have a big screen TV you know!) Also, there are no alternate languages or subtitles. Not even the signal to your TV that gives you a sub. And finally, as stated in other reviews - no extras. On the season 1 DVD, there was the original 1953 cartoon "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th Century" which started it all. Season 2 had no bonus features, so I was hoping that maybe Season 3 would have the 1980 sequel “Duck Dodgers and the Return of the 24½th Century” but no such luck. Otherwise, looney adventures abound as expected. And the final episode was a great way to send this series into retirement. Thanks to Warner Bros. for at least getting this out there. I was beginning to loose hope. Maybe if I had called The Galactic Protectorate?

It's the 24th and 1/2 Century!
If you were raised on Looney Tunes, like I was, this is a great series! Daffy, always the 2nd banana to Bugs, really comes into his own in the new Duck Dodgers series. This 3rd installment does not disappoint. It's just as self serving, clueless, and self ingratiating as the other 2. With his loyal, and somewhat defeated, sidekick, the ever present Cadet, Dodgers throws himself head first into whatever the universe has in store for him. Marvin the Martian, no problem...robots, assassins, alien misfits...you better believe he's ready, kinda...Always looking for an easy out, or in, Dodgers willingly throws his cadet and his audience into every adventure with the classic darn the torpedoes, full speed ahead attitude that I remember as a kid. Heck, I'm middle age and laughed at this collection with reckless abandon. And, to top it off, it's got a Tom Jones theme song...come on...you can't get better than that. There will be some who don't like it...all I can say to them is fine...don't watch it...But if you're a true fan of all things looney, get it, watch it, love it!

Conclusion to a masterpiece 8 years in the making
I’m so unbelievably happy that this dvd exists. For those that don’t know, about 7 or 8 years ago Warner Brothers released the first 2 seasons of this masterpiece but then for some reason or other season 3 just wasn’t on their radar. Many series have had this problem and I’m sure we’ve all been there and had that moment where it seemed like a waste of time to collect something after it got dropped off and this show for the longest time was the pinnacle of that for me. I checked rather sporadically for this and one day, just by chance, there it was. I bought it immediately and I have no regrets. This is a show that has really stood the test of time.

A Dream come true
While I had already watched the third season online a long time ago, it was still nice to see Warner Brothers finally complete this rather underrated series from their library. The third season is one of my favorites (even if it isn't everyone's cup of tea), and the season opener "Till Doom Us Do Part," remains my favorite episode to this day. Plus, many of these episodes aired on TV at weird times as part of the original run and were rarely reaired, giving people a chance to see them for the first time.

it's about time
They finally go around to releasing season 3 on dvd. Wish they'd have done it right away.

Late, but better than never
It's been seven years since the other Duck Dodgers DVDs came out, and many fans of the show had probably given up on ever getting the third season. But sometimes miracles happen - and it's great to finally have all the episodes on DVD. The third season has some of the most memorable episodes, including the Legion of Duck Doom, Dodgers' encounter with Megadeth, a high school episode inspired by 21 Jump Street, and very amusing parodies of Six Million Dollar Man and the disco era.The collection doesn't have any special features - it's just the episodes, but it's still worth it for fans of the show. I definitely recommend it.

A good series.
I really got this series just to see Marvin because he doesn't really get enough love. For those that love silliness with Daffy, Porky, and others, this is for you. :)

Funny show
Loved the cartoon series. The only bad thing was the poor packaging the damaged the case. The dvd that is only 5 1/4" x 7 1/2" was packaged loosely in a 12 1/4" x 18" envelope mailer. Dose that make any sense? You need to improve your shipping department.
