Frontlawn attraction
Great for kids. Our tree is the envy of all the neighborhood kids.

They're supposed to be for the kids but.....
Once installed these are rock solid. Ratchets are sturdy and easy to use. Easy to release too, if you need to take them down or readjust the height/placement. Time will tell if the metal will rust, but they feel heavy and good quality to me. Lots of excess strap material, the diameter of our tree is maybe 3', but I just tucked each strap into the straps below to keep them from hanging loose.I think it helps to have your youngest kiddo handy for placement. I started from the bottom and had my 4-year old testing his reach on each set of holds as I worked my way up. I tested it after him and tightened any straps that wiggled under my weight, then had my 220# husband test them and nothing budged. I would be lying if I said I didn't "test" it every day - at 40 years old I still love climbing trees and I can't walk past this tree without wanting to shimmy up there lol. Anyway, I don't know what the rated weight limit is but they get lots of adult use and hold up great! :) Once we can actually have parties again I anticipate some "hey dude hold my beer" sort of shenanigans.Based on our placement, the top hold is around 7' high. Our kids are 7 and 4, so this is just enough to be challenging and just the right amount of adrenaline for them without being terrifying for us. I love that you can adjust this to your needs; for a younger kiddo you could just not use all the straps, or even use more/less holds on each strap based on the shape/diameter of your tree.A few things to keep in mind:1) my kids need something to do or somewhere to go once they reach the top. Both climbed up the first time and then sort of looked at us like, okay, now what. We are building a jungle gym next to the tree and connecting the two somehow with some ninja holds, but just a thought.2) the bark of our tree is layered and flaky, so I heard lots of crunching as I tightened the straps and I anticipate it will leave marks when we remove them.3) the directions said to place two holds per strap. There are 18 holds and 6 straps. I just figured that was a typo and I placed 3 holds per strap, which seemed like common sense but it did make me pause for a minute and re-read the directions to make sure I wasn't missing something. I don't know if it's possible to purchase extra straps.Anyway - these are cheap and easy fun! Buy it and pretend it's for the kids. :)

Tree Climbing Holds fit all hand sizes with an extremely strong hold
Loved the tree climbing hand holds in addition to our Ninja Warrior Slack Line Set. Hand Holds were used as a way to access our tree house. A fun and creative way for the older children to spend time outside. I plan to purchase more for our other 4 large trees.

Is there a way to replace 1 strap?
Perfect for my 5 year old. As long as all pegs are facing the correct way it is sturdy and there is not much give in the straps once on the tree.. I am 5’5” 120lbs and it holds me just fine. One of the straps did arrive completely unattached from the ratchet itself though. The stitching was completely unraveled and I am not able to hand sew it back to how it should be sewn on. So I am down 1 strap, wish there was a way to replace 1 strap instead of all 6 because my son uses these all day to climb our tree and swing from.

My boys LOVE it!
I saw this when a friend put on Facebook that she bought it. Pre Covid we were members of our local climbing gym so I figured this would be one more thing to entertain the kids outside. Installation was easy. I did it with the help of my boys and we were up and climbing within an hour. We’ve had it most of the summer now and it’s still a popular backyard toy. It’s usually one of the first thing the kids (and adults) go to when they first get in our backyard. Even now with virtual school, my kids will run out there and climb up and down a few times when they have a quick break.

Simple, and adequate
I think the main issue with these is a need to adjust your own expectations. If you’re expecting this to turn your trees into a climbing wall you likely to to adjust your own expectations. They work as advertised and are sturdy. You likely will need to group closer together to get them to be easier to climb. We had some slippage which is normal as you’re attaching to a tree.

Great little product. Climb that tree!
Great for that tree in your hard that has high limbs but your kid wants to try climbing. Don’t have a rock wall for them? Make a tree wall-it’s more challenging. These are relatively easy to put up and pretty sturdy. I did bend one of the ratchets when tightening but it bent back and it’s holding up fine. With the price to see my son climb up the tree like used to at his gym class.
