Instant Shade Anywhere
I got this after seeing one at a soccer tournament. I really like the way that you can move the wall around as the sun moves so that you are always blocking the sun but still have plenty of airflow. I did drop the rods the second time I was putting it up and it cut the bungee cord inside. With a little help from a wire I was able to pull it back through and tie it off. Good as new. Plan on using this at the beach next week and then at the granddaughter’s soccer tournaments this fall. All in all I really like this shade. Easy to put up and easy to pack away. It has several color options so you can choose what fits you. I would buy this again and may buy some for my kids to have.

Unreliable Poles and Non-existent Customer Support
I bought this sun shade back in May of 2023. Used it exactly three times. On the third time, one of the poles broke. The design of the canopy makes it very difficult to set up on the first place. The provided poles apparently is not rated for the high force requirement of setting it up. On top of everything, customer support is non-existent. I reached out nearly three weeks ago of writing this review and still have reviewed a single response. Would highly recommend to stay away from this product.

Great Canopy!
I can's say enough good things about this. I bought it for a motorcycle camping trip, so I needed something light that packed small. The pack on the back contains the canopy, sleeping bag, air mattress, pillow, clothes, and some miscellaneous items. I packed the poles and fabric pieces separately to distribute the mass. It's a little tricky to set up alone, but it was up in <15 minutes. As you can see from the picture, it completely covers a standard picnic table with room to spare and plenty of height to stand up inside. You do have to duck a bit to get inside. It rained a lot while I was out, but everything stayed dry. The single privacy wall attaches easily. Would have liked there to be 2 included. I highly recommend this.

Nice product
Nice product. High quality materials. A little hard to put up alone.

Heavy with difficult assemble.
This is a decent-quality sunshade, but I ended up returning it for the following reasons: -Difficult Solo Assembly: assembling this really requires two people and I was really looking for one I could easily set up on my own. I'm able to set up our entire 4-person Kelty tent solo, but really struggled with this shelter--it's easy to initially slide the poles into the sleeve, but securing them to the eyelet on the lower side takes a lot of man-handling since the poles are so rigid (maybe this becomes easier over time). I WAS able to do it solo but it was TOUGH and took much longer than what I was hoping for. -HEAVY: the poles are very heavy. I wish they were made of lighter materials, even for a higher price point. As it is, the unit was much heavier & bulkier than I was expecting (even after fully reading the description, etc.)--it just fell short of expectations. -Anchors: One worry I had was that on a reasonably windy day the included anchors (standard, smooth metal anchors) wouldn't be enough to actually hold this "sail" of solid material to the ground. I'd honestly be concerned leaving it unattended on a moderately windy day because I'm pretty sure the anchors would eventually be tugged right out of the ground and the entire shade would set sail--would recommend spiral anchors or another way of physically anchoring the structure to the ground (a bottom flap or strap to weight with gear?). -Height: the openings and overall height are smaller/shorter than expected (even after reading the available specs closely). On a warm day, the side openings aren't that big & I'd be worried it would create more of a heat shelter than allow a full, nice breeze through. The interior height was also quite short for such a hefty structure. Wanted to love it, but just too many concerns/ended up not being quite right for what I was looking for in a shade shelter.

Excellent piece, and is not only made well, but was priced right.

Great sunshade!
It's definitely not as complicated to put together as other reviewers have eluded to. It is actually fairly heavy though, as 12#s doesn't sound like a lot but it's a hefty package. I'm in Florida and LOVE LOVE LOVE the moveable wall. I disassembled it myself with ease, took maybe 10 minutes but it was my first time ever. I've only used this once and will update if it deteriorates or something. There's a lot of space inside, so It's good for a large family!

Badly Made / Very Disappointed
After a lot of research I bought this shelter for my friends and I to take to our monthly desert camp outs. I was so excited. The design seems so good and so simple - and Kelty has always made such good gear. This has been a disaster. I’ve used it 4 times in the year I’ve had it. The pole shattered after the 3rd use - then there was a confusing long wait for repair and then I got it back and used it again (4th use) and sections of 2 poles shattered and the canopy ripped. None of the conditions were at all severe - light wind and the shelter was properly staked and tied down. It’s materially a bad design. The poles are too thick and consequently too brittle. I put in 2nd request for repair plus follow up but have had bo response. I’m really disappointed in this and in Kelty. I want my money back. I’d like to see them remake this with suitable material. I do not recommend this shade. This absolutely should have been durable enough for the shade I needed. Ugh. I’m so frustrated.
