My family loves this. It's so easy to clean and overall easy to use. It took a couple tries to get my timing right with spinning the cotton candy sticks, but now it's really fun to use. My kids love picking different flavors to try. It takes 10 minutes to warm up to use, but then it's quick after that. I love the old fashioned cart base also. I took one star away because every time we use it there's a lot of sugar left in the machine and I haven't been able to figure out how to prevent that. But definitely get this. It makes movie nights so special and the price is perfect.

So at first this seemed like a fun lil gadget. Followed every step and right out of the box made a few “batches”. A couple days later got it back out and used it the exact same way I did the first time and it caught LITERAL fire. Flames coming out from the underneath of the center centrifuge space where the sugar goes. I was using cotton candy floss sugar so nothing strange. I unplugged it immediately tried to blow out the the flames which was difficult since the center of the device only has a small opening where you’d want to get in to extinguish the fire. I picked it up whisked it across the kitchen and straight outside to the porch wall. I was legit shaken. Don’t buy it it’s absolutely not worth catching your house on fire for or someone getting hurt. There was no time to grab the phone and get a video but I wanted to leave this extremely important info to help anyone else from finding themselves in danger. The issue with the machine is that as it spins the sugar some of it clings to the centrifuge outside edge then drips down into the center through the small opening and into the heating element which in turn lights the sugar on fire. You can’t get into that area to clean it either without completely taking the unit apart which it tells you in the book not to do so major design flaw for sure. Buyer beware of you read this and still decide to purchase it.

Update: I called customer service and they were very kind. They immediately agreed to send another and notified me that it would be under warranty for the next year. Before the sugar started melting into the heating element, it worked great, was easy to use, and easy to clean. Hopefully the new one works better!I am so angry! My daughter got this as her one big birthday gift. It worked great for her party. I meticulously cleaned it and put it back in the box for storage. Took it out today and every time I tried to make cotton candy, the sugar melted and dripped onto the heating element. I stopped it immediately, let it cool, did a thorough cleaning and fished all the cooled sugar drips out of the base and tried again after everything was clean and dry. I repeated this process four more times. It kept happening and was worse each time. The fourth time the machine made a weird noise and stopped. OF COURSE the return window closed about a week ago so we’re just stuck with this pice of junk and my daughter is devastated. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK! I would give zero stars if I could!
