Hands free and comfortable!
I have a preemie and have been exclusively pumping since she was born a month ago. Let's just say that I spend a ton of time bonding with my pump!My pump came with the Simple Wishes pumping bra/bustier that I was excited to use, once I realized how much time I was going to spend doing this. I tried it a few times, and really hated it. First, it's like some sort of straight jacket, and is extremely hard for me to get adjusted so I'm not yanking and pulling and trying to get comfortable. The heavy seams compressed small areas and I ended up with clogged ducts and the feeling that my boobs were bruised. Super great when you're spending hours in a hospital lactation room recovering from an emergency c section with a sick baby! Then, add in the fact that the heavy material and bandeau/uniboob design make it impossible to do any massage. And can we say ugly? Wearing anything short of a high crew neck had people checking out the awesome zipper and creepy flesh tone.I gave up on it pretty quickly, and just started holding the flanges for my marathon pumpathons, assuming that all pumping gear was either prohibitively expensive, similarly uncomfortable, or not functional. It wasn't until this week, when I started having terrible carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms from holding the baby and the stupid flanges that I decided to spend some of that sleep-deprived brain power looking for something better. This bra looked more in line with something I thought I'd wear, but I didn't have high expectations.I was concerned, first about sizing. I'm a 36 DDD or E right now, so I ordered the large. The straps are adjustable and the band had 6? rows of eyes, so you can pretty easily adjust that, I'd think, to fit the range of sizes in the sizing chart. The cups are made of pretty stretchy material and cover me pretty completely. Given the lighter weight material and stretchiness, I was surprised how well the bra held the flanges, but it does and not so tightly that you're left with flange rings on your boobs afterwards. If the bra were tighter or you use larger flanges (I use the medela 24 mm flanges), I could see it being a challenge to wrestle the flanges in and cause some of the tearing issues other reviewers mention. The fabric is flexible and lightweight enough that I am able to massage and there are no issues with the bra cutting into me or compressing breast tissue. It's pretty smooth, even with nursing pads in, amd doesn't give you weird lines when dressed. Overall, it's pretty comfy and I can wear normal shirts, scoop necks, and vnecks without exposing something ugly and industrial. My major complaints are the synthetic material and the fact that it's just a shelf bra. The material is smooth and seems to wash well, but it doesn't breathe as well as as cotton or a blend. It gets a bit clammy and persistently damp, if you're a sweater, like I am. The shelf bra probably allows for that block sizing, but you end up with a bit of the uniboob look without anything to divide the girls. It also isn't hugely supportive for larger breasts, though it's adequate for general activity. Bending over can be a bit exciting, and light jogging is out!For me, it's a huge win and I ordered two more. It's 5AM and I was so happy to be able to be hands free during my pumping session that I decided tk write a review.

A life saver!!
Before I got this I was just holding the pumps and …well, it was terrible! Because if you’re pumping you know pumping is the worst and your full time damn job! I was worried it wouldn’t be tight enough to keep them in place, but it is. I came back to order a second one. Before pregnancy I was a 34 B. Not sure what I am now? Bigger but not super huge. I got a small and it’s great.

Some flaws but definitely not the worst pumping bra I've found.
Of all of the pumping bras I have found and tried (which as an exclusive pumper is A LOT) this is by far my favorite so far. That being said there are a few major flaws that I was really sad about. First the slits for the pump to go in are literally like on the OUTSIDE side of my boobs instead of where my nipples are so in order to use it I'm having to like, angle my boob sideways towards my armpit? Idk how to even describe it, but its uncomfortable and it makes it really hard to keep my nipple centered in the flange. I ordered 2 different sizes thinking maybe that was the issue, but the problem is the same on both sizes so its definitelya design flaw. The other issue that I have with this is how SHORT it is as far as the bottom of it goes. Like the bottom of the band rides up under my breasts which is definitely NOT a good thing. Again this is an issue with both sizes that I purchased. I went up a size thinking maybe that was the problem and honestly its like it was just bigger around but didn't give it any more length at all. These 2 things are major issues for me affecting the comfort and functionality of this bra. I really had high hopes for it but it just kind of fell flat in those areas. Otherwise it's a very nice soft material and also very pretty to look at (until I put it on and it fits funky then not so much), I just wish it could have checked all the boxes for me.

Good option for pumping
I have had this bra for 7 months now and wear it most days to work to make pumping faster. For reference, I'm usually a 32D and I ordered a medium, which fits well although as I keep losing weight (5'7", 140 lbs) and the elastic starts to wear out, I wish it had one smaller band size.A few things I like:1) It's not hideous. That counts for something when nursing.2) It works - I can put my flanges in and continue hands-free.3) No underwire, which was especially nice in the early days.4) Seems to grow with me—I don't get gaping or spillage.A few down-sides:1) It doesn't hold the flanges in as tightly (especially over time) as my zip-up strapless pumping bra. (I have the Simple Wishes Handsfree Pumping Bra and it's GREAT.)2) It doesn't do much for my boobs. It's very thin (no padding, which is to be expected). I'm not sure if it's my nursing boobs or the bra but they're fine, just definitely not as shapely as when I'm wearing a more structured bra with padding.3) The bottom band does curl some. It doesn't bother me but it would be nice if it laid flat.READ CAREFULLY: It does not have easy access for nursing. If you go back and forth (as I do periodically), I just pull the material up or down but make sure you read the description fully to know if this is what you want.In short, I would probably buy this again but might shop around for something with a bit more structure next time, especially considering I use it many times, most days. Probably not ideal for larger breasted women.
