HHIP 3900-2112 58 Piece Clamping Kit (7/16 Inch T-Slot) Stud Size 3/8-16

The clamp set I received was very well made had none of the milling flaws other reviewers experienced: the threads were clean and the steps on all the blocks were sharp and fitted perfectly. My Smithy CB1220 XL has 7/16" slots on the table, and I've had trouble finding that size; 1/2" and 5/8" seem to be more common. Smithy's set has fewer pieces than this one, and runs about $100 with shipping. As usual, Amazon saved me more than half. The set arrived in two days. The plastic case is very sturdy, and suffered no damage. All pieces were well-oiled and clean.

I read all the reviews before buying. I had no issues with the threads like one guy said, I don’t care about the holder it came with and they come oiled which someone inexplicably complained about. They work just fine for what they are. It’s an inexpensive, import set. That being said, I’m happy with it. I’d buy it again if I needed to.

It's actually very good quality overall. But I had to remove two stars because of the mid-length hold downs (which come in matched pairs) one is either a half-inch too short or the other is a half-inch too long. It's just a weird quality control issue to have. However, it's shouldn't impact my use so I'm keeping it.

This set is extremely good for clamping odd-shaped pieces. I think I paid about $65. I did have to take the bottom out to retrieve a short threaded rod that I dropped into a hole and the rod went down inside. I have since built a milling table with drawers, and I have transferred the clamping kit pieces to the top drawer. Do at your own risk, but I also bought a 4 inch quick-slide vise, and angle vise, and a 3 inch machinist vise to go along with this kit so I can now clamp just about anything up to 4 inches wide. I use this on a HF mini mill.

This is a great clamp down set for the price. It arrived super promptly. The only problem was that the thread in the T-nuts was pretty awful to the point where they weren’t useable straight out of the box, so I spent 45 mins with a thread chaser cleaning the whole set. Turned out to only be the T-Nuts. They are all now really smooth. I would still buy this set despite the little effort to clean them up, but it shouldn’t be necessary!

Works well and seems to do the job. Good combinations of sizes too. Some of the nuts and rods are a bit scratchy feeling when threading them together with your fingers, but will likely free up after a few uses. I will buy them again if I ever need more.

But received with broken plastic holder.

Mine was missing one of the four small triangle support blocks, have contacted HHIP company, haven't heard back. Otherwise seems fine. Kinda pricey, but fine.
