Crystal clear voice. I love this mic
I love it. This mic has a very good gain and my voice sounds deep and is crystal clear, even when I whisper. It's incredibly easy to setup, and there is no need for drivers in Windows 10.It's probably the best deal you can get on Amazon for the ~£35 price range. The mic is mostly made of plastic, but this doesn't bother me, considering it's doing its job so well. I would say it is even better than the Blue Snowball Ice, as the voice is deeper and clearer using the Mantis, while with the Snowball it tends to sound weaker and a bit more washed out. There are test videos on YouTube for both mics to prove my point. The only 2 cons I could find were: - The relatively short USB cable. This mic is only new, so I'm hoping the cable will be longer with the revised model in the near future- There is no physical button on the mic for muting and unmuting. If you're using Discord, there is a workaround where you can assign a keyboard shortcut for muting the mic. I've assigned mine to CTRL+M.This is, without a doubt, the best mic I've ever had and it's great for gaming and streaming. Definitely a good buy and a bargain, at only £30 (current price 26-Feb-2019).

Do not buy this mic
I thought this mic would be a great mic because people were saying the audio was crystal clear and overall amazing. I got the mic and turned up the db to 100 (because that was what the instructions said) and I gave it a go. It sounded like a old cheap headset mic and I was extremely upset. I gave it another chance when I realised for audio to pick up you have to talk right into it otherwise there will be no sound. The audio from the mic was laggy and horrible. Trust me, don't buy this mic. If you would like a good quality mic buy one for more than £100 like a Blue Yeti because I have learnt my lesson not to but mics under £30.

Great for starting out or upgrading an inbuilt mic on a budget, but not anything more serious
The Trust GXT 232 Mantis is a cheap, yet reliable microphone that gets the job done with more than acceptable sound quality and an easy mounting system. In my opinion, it is perfect for amateur streamers (marketed at streamers at time of review) or when you need something more than an inbuilt microphone.Build quality - The quality of the build is acceptable and to be expected considering the price point. Made out of plastic all round, with metal mesh and rubber feet and stabilisets for the stand, and a metal handle for the plastic and cloth pop filter. Overall, the quality reflects its cheap price, however considering it is meant to be mounted on the stand and left untouched, it shouldn't be a problem. The cable is also very sturdy, with a no-expense-spared appearance. Fabric coats the cable from both end points, and cable overall is of acceptable length, and has a silver plated USB frame for PC connections.Sound Quality - The quality of the sound is great. It picks up everything you say fine from any distance and transmits your voice very clearly. The only let down, however, is sensitivity. It is really darn sensitive! It will pick up sounds as quiet as a fan running in the background, which can hurt when all you want is your voice, and can give the effect the microphone itself is at fault. I can see the use in some cases, however, as it is marketed for streamers as mentioned before, you have to be careful on how far from noise pollutants you put it.A thing to note here is the mic is assumed as a front-facing microphone, however, it is a side facing mic. I recommend moving it so that both metal meshes face left and right, rather than up and down, to improve sound quality. This may be a manufacturer oversight.Stand - The stand is a let down. Whilst easy to setup and gets the job done, it can be really difficult to get the pop filter in the correct place, and whilst vertical adjustments are easy to make and it holds in place well, the horizontal can move to even the smallest of touches, and while it will hold, even a bang on the table can tilt it left or right. Be careful! The pop filter gets the job done as well, being 2 pieces of meshed fabric separated by a few millimeters and held together by a plastic frame. As a pop filter, it does its intended purpose well.Overall - I would recommend this microphone to anyone on a budget starting out in streaming or looking to upgrade from an inbuilt mic, but for anything more serious, you would have to look elsewhere, as it simply isn't up to scratch nor is it worth the money for the small yet impactful issues it suffers.

Is it worth your money?
I've used this product for over 3 months now and i will tell you the good and bad things i found in this product.Starting with the pros of this product:-Looks very good and well made for the price, as it resembles a professional (expensive) microphone.-My voice sounds incredibly much better when compared to my headset mic.-The microphone picks up noises that are easy to cancel when you are editing your video or setting your microphone up for gaming with your friends on Discord/TS or when you are live streaming.-The pop filter does a relatively good job and is definitely useful at times.-The cable is very good and sturdy so it will definitely not break anytime soon.Cons:-The pop filter does not stay in one place as the metal part that you are supposed to put it on does not lock it in one place so the pop filter could either fall off, or just swing away from the place you set it to be at. This is not ideal and it sometimes just makes me not use it at all as it just gets annoying to use.-The microphone stand is not great as it only opens and closes but you cant open the legs to the angle you would like, which is annoying as the legs in my opinion open up too wide and i don't have the space on my desk for it.-I did say the microphone is good, however it picks up too much of my keyboard clicks which is not great as this results in me using my headset mic when i play with my friends instead of this one. I did try to adjust it but then i have to be close to my mic in order for my friends to hear me and not hear the keyboard clicks.

Microfono sopra ogni aspettativa ✅
