Finally... Subcontractor-Proof Lighting!
This is a fantastic product! As always, the amazon.com shipping process was painless and fast, everything arrived on-time and in one piece. The lights are wonderful. They can be kicked, hit with equipment, and all other typically detrimental actions done to them and they just take it like a champ! Pros:Idiot/laborer/subcontractor proof. Super Bright (40k lumens). They don't have their own cord, but this is good because if it get's split, just throw another extension cord on there and you are good! You can piggy-back them together, or plug in tools right into the unit! Cons: ... um... well they are heavy... but that way they can't easily go home with someone else. That's about it. So there you have it. You get what you pay for and even then, at 290 apiece they are a great value! Cheers!

The Midnight Sun
This light puts out a tremendous amount of light. So much I've dubbed it the midnight sun. Everyone that sees this bad boy stares at it like a moth to a flame and asks where I got it. 4-stars? While I've had no issues whatsoever, the plastic is a bit cheap like the handle. I wish it were really bomb proof, but it's not. Very durable it is but over time something likely to break. Still, if it keeps the price reasonable for this amount of money, well, it's a fair deal. While I'd like to wish it was 5-star, others have complained of breakage, so I'm holding off at this point. I've put it to use one one major project without any issues. I even bumped into many times...testing it. Frankly, I really like it and highly recommend it to those that need copious amounts of bright light.

Wobble Lights are Awesome !!!
I've been using Wobble Lights for over 15 years now. They're very durable, very well made, bright, and they last a very long time. I still have 3 original ones and they work just as good as the new ones that I have. Have had to change the bulbs a few times over so many years, but other than that, they are virtually maintenance free.

Nice idea, very poor quality
When I got the light, it came with a broken bulb, so I had to return it. I asked for a refund instead of a replacement because of the very poor engineering and construction of the unit. As much as this light costs, I'd expect something of commercial quality. It's not water resistant at all, The plastic shell doesn't have enough fasteners holding it together and there are gaps all around. The transformer is mounted loosely in the bottom and slides around. The lamp is inadequately protected against shock and rattles every time it wobbles. I've been dealing with tools for a long time and I didn't believe that I would get good service life from this light. I wouldn't recommend this light to anyone (except my competitors) It's a shame that the patent on such a good idea is wasted like this. Kudos to Amazon for letting me return it. Full refund. I'll be back. but not to buy this light.

Phenominally bright light that doesn't heat up
This ranks up there in my top 10 Amazon purchases of all time. I opted for the Halide light because I wanted the extra wattage over the fluorescent version but I was concerned that the system would overheat my workshop. As with all halide bulb, the light builds in intensity over a 2-3 minute period. As time passed I was literally bowled over by the amount of light this thing threw out but I remained concerned that the cooling system wouldn't be able to handle such a powerful bulb. After 3-4 hours of continuous use the clear plastic surrounding the bulb was just warm to the touch and there wasn't a perceivable rise in the temperature of my workshop. Overall, a phenomenal product that puts out more than enough light to illuminate ANY home workshop, and to top it off it's build to withstand a natural disaster and barely gets warm. If you're looking for illumination nirvana, you just found it...........

Great light with a few problems
I'd give this light 5 stars for light output, but durability in a few key spots really hurts it. I will say it is innovative and performs so much better than the slew of halogen floodlight alternatives. The form factor does a great job of keeping the light upright and stable. I have used both the metal halide and halogen versions of this light. I prefer the metal halide because it does not get quite so hot. Beware the metal halide light does need time to cool down before restarting if the power is cut - think old school gymnasium light. I wish they offered an HID version with a hot restart ignitor similar to what is found in car headlights. But both styles deliver an astounding amount of light. You can easily light up a room or even a small outdoor space (like my city backyard). Overall durability is good. I have used many of these one construction sites and they will work as lights for years where a halogen floodlight won't last through a month. The switches and receptacles are robust but not mounted as well as I would like. Both can be a bit wiggly, especially the receptacles. Over time I have am becoming concerned the plug will push into the body, though it has not yet. There are some real issues that keep this light from being excellent. The first is the handle and lens. The handle is actually the same part as the clear plastic lens. It is smooth on top but ribbed on the bottom. The problem is that the bottom of the handle is where you place you hand when carrying this heavy sucker around. It digs in an is very uncomfortable. But don't worry too much because the handle will most likely break within a few uses! The clear plastic used in the lens/handle is quite brittle and the handle cracks off at the connection point. This also happens at the screw points which attach the lens to the yellow plastic body. Lastly, the lens it topped off with a secondary clear plastic rain shield that pops into place leaving a gap to vent the bulb's heat. Again brittle plastic causes the connection points to fail. Google "wobble light damage". The second key issue is portability. This light is HEAVY. Thank goodness I have apprentices to haul these guys around the site. I realize the weight is needed to enable the "wobble" feature, but be prepared. Between the weight and the shape, these lights are a pain to move and store. Finally, I have a few suggestions on improving the design. It is very easy to break power to the light. A simple loop or lock for the extension cord near the receptacle would be appreciated. My current solution is to wrap the extension cord in a knot around the neck of the light. I'd also like to see a better way to chain or secure the light to a post. These are left on a jobsite overnight and I would prefer to not have my $300 investment walk off. I don't want to sound too negative. I would still choose this light over an other area light I have seen. But I feel like the design team missed the boat on a few key things that could have really made this a perfect light. Pros - Amazing light output - Not too hot - Long lasting product - Innovative design Cons - Lens and handle durability - No way to secure extension cord - No good way to secure it

It's very hard to receive the product you pay for when buying this type of light. It's either broken or almost broken. First order : light bulb is shattered , returned. Second order: Body is warped and both pieces wont snap into one another. Big space between the pieces allowing dirt , dust and any liquids to simply seep into the body. Not at all what I paid for. Ordering a third time seems like lunacy. A coworker of mine has had roughly the same experience with these orders. If you're lucky and delivery doesn't smash your product , there's a chance you'll get a decent light delivered. I refuse to order a third one , I'll order lights from my local dealer from now on.
