Spent quite a bit of time researching reviews on silicone tools. Wanted them to be safe and non-toxic--NOT made from recycled toxic-anything! This mfg is recommended by MULTIPLE food blogs & reviews--its products are certified by a 3rd party German evaluations firm, and the mfg even provides replacements, if appropriate. Who does that? (PS I didn't purchase "sets" of silicone tools as typically offered--I only purchased the tools I will most use, including this ladle--AND THREW AWAY everything else in the kitchen tools drawer!)

I have replaced all my plastic cooking utensils with silicone. Higher temperature limits and plastic sheds. I like D’Oro products. They are well made and a reasonable price.

We had some concerns after reading articles about black utensils, so we chose the Di Oro Silicone Soup Ladle. It was well priced, will last a very long time and clean up is a breeze in the dishwasher. My only caveat is that it seems to lack balance due to its weight. We're accustomed to the lighter weight of Williams Sonoma spoons, but we'll probably acclimate with repetitive use.

My DI ORO Silicone Ladle has quickly become a kitchen essential. I recently used it while making homemade vegetable beef stew on a particularly cold, 20-degree day, and it was absolutely perfect. It scoops just the right amount—one ladle for a modest serving, two for a satisfying bowlful—making serving a breeze. I can already tell it's going to be invaluable during my upcoming blackberry jelly canning project as well. The size and shape seem ideal for transferring the hot jelly. Beyond its practical uses, the ladle is simply a pleasure to use. It's well-designed and feels wonderfully balanced in my hand. This ladle is a beast, both in size and function. Will definitely last you years. It’s so well made it might even outlast you. We prefer to only use silicone utensils and I’ve used multiple brands and ones I found at home goods, but genuinely this brand is amazing. You can find cheap ones elsewhere but this one is worth the cost if you don’t want to replace them every couple years. It’s SO extremely sturdy and holds a lot. Just make sure to measure the size because we have shallow kitchen drawers and it did not fit so we had to put it in a separate cabinet. If you use ladles often, or even if you don’t, this is your winner.
