So, I bought two of the 4-layer models in cherry color. They were delivered by FedEx. I was not happy with the delivery, because FedEx left the two boxes on my driveway in snow and sleet. I didn't realize it until hours later. Even though the boxes were soaked and frozen, the content inside was fine. I let everything dry overnight before assembling. The assembly of the first bookshelf was challenging. The hardest part was sliding the back board in. If you follow the instructions, there was just no way. Friction got in the way. There was just no way to push a thin layer of MDF through the entire length of tightly fitted tracks. Having realized this, I deviated from the installation instructions. The trick to success was to slide in the back board BEFORE tightening everything down. In fact, I didn't even install the bottom shelf until after the back board was in place. Needless to say, the assembly of my second unit went much faster. The book shelves look pretty nice. They are sturdy. For the price, they exceeded my expectation. I also like how they have leveling legs. That came in very handy for placing my two units side-by-side on an uneven floor. I did not use the wall anchor, so I can't comment on that. In all, I am happy with this purchase.

My husband had no problem assembling the book case. I know many reviews state that the directions are hard to follow. I don't think I would have been able to do it alone, but he had no problems. It does have a little too much of a red color for my liking (my furniture is cherry wood), but it is a very nice product. It comes with a tether that can be used for safety, so that is a nice feature, too.

Very poor quality. Assembled. How can I return

We've put together many, MANY pieces of furniture over the years. This is one of the best and easiest pieces we've ever put together. The instructions are not great, but thankfully it's very self-explanatory (especially if you're used to assembling this kind of furniture. If you're not, it could be confusing.As for the quality, this piece is way better than most I've seen in the past. The back slides into the base instead of a flimsy piece that you have to nail in. This saved us SO MUCH TIME putting it together, plus it is so much sturdier and secure. I like the weight of the parts, too. This is a very sturdy piece of furniture. It's on the high end of the pre-fab scale. I highly recommend this shelf!!

I was looking for a good bookcase and this one fit the bill. Just received it today and assembled it in less than 45 minutes including the anti-tip mount to the wall. I read some negative reviews about how unsteady the product was after assembly. Luckily I read other reviews which noted you needed to be sure to screw in the locking pegs after inserting them into the pre-drilled holes (also found this noted on page 2 of the instructions). Love the laminated backing rather than the cardboard stuff you usually get with these self-assembled furniture. I would buy from this manufacture again, very good product.

Seems sturdy enough. The assembly was a bit confusing. Took 2 people.

The three-in-one anchors was useless. The threaded portion of the stem/post anchor fit into the drilled semi-recessed hole. The hole was oversized as to suggest there might have been a missing metal anchor in the wooden portion to receive the threaded post anchors. Their was a major over site In parts. The missing part describesd was not mentioned or shown in the assembly Brochure either. I had to purchase metal angles and screws to install at 8 locations and am concerned the anchors I installed may easily pull out of the wood given they are only 12mm long. The company’s quality control need to receive a packaged product of their own and try to assemble it with just what is provided. How could this happen in an otherwise quality product costing almost $175 US dollars?
