It arrived with the mesh from the expandable side fused together (not sure if it was sewn together accidentally, or maybe the ends being pushed together + intense heat = them melting together) whatever the reason, it wouldn’t open until I pulled the pieces apart, which meant the carrier now has a small superficial tear. I’m returning this one and buying another. Hopefully this one was just a fluke, because my puppy instantly wanted to sleep in it, plus you can’t beat the price at 20 bucks.UPDATE: the second one came in perfect condition.

I purchased this carrier to take our cat on a 1600 mile car trip. Prior to the trip, I needed to take the cat to the vet and decided to use the carrier for the first time today. At the vet's office, my cat pushed his head up, and the zipper on the enclosure screen split open, and no longer works. He jumped out of the carrier. I cannot rely on this carrier to safely transport our cat on the car trip. I want to return it, or have it replaced, because it is defective. But because I used it for the first time 36 days after purchase, the 30 day return policy prevents it. If a company representative sees this review, please respond.

The expandable portion was a nice bonus for traveling and gave my kitten more room. The zippers split quite easily and although they are self repair it is difficult to control the kitten and fix the zipper.

my 4 mth old morkie fit perfect in and traveled well..the flat bottom I pulled out to insert the add on item they made mention that many order with it. And I couldn't have the hard flat base in and have the soft insert as well. But over all my morkie traveled well in the carrier; and it is very bendable so if I needed to store it I can fold it down. I love the zipper down side to give more room and the top and side zipper gave opt to put her in it. I was afraid she might chew threw it so we brought our metal fold down cage as well for where we were staying. But for one night in a hotel she did well sleeping in the carrier. she is just about 7 lbsUpdate 8/12/16She still travels well only down side is the padded inserts. They will not stay in place unless u pull the board from the bottom that supports it to be stiff. So if u want it in u will have a saggy bottom while pet is in. An mine pulls it from the Velcro an plays with it like a toy.

Zipper broke first time I used it over its roomy and nice just very cheaply made I'm returning it!

This carrier really does work as advertised. The carrier seems small enough to not be questioned by airline attendants, but then becomes the most spacious option once expanded. Ideal for airline travel, it also worked great for a cross country drive with my skittish cat who prefers to be in a cozy, safe place. I left the unit expanded and the door open, and he used it like a den.....it was perfect!

Although it was a comfortable carrier, the zippers all gave out after 1 use. Also, it had a strong manufacturer smell when I first opened it. I had to let it breathe for a couple of weeks before actually using it.Not worth buying

So far I am very pleased with the quality and design. I opened it up right away and left it for my cat to explore and get her scent on it before we travel. She walked right in and has been napping in it (with the end flap open) but fully inside. She is 12 lbs. and finds it plenty roomy. She fits just right. I'll update after our trip.

We were really pleased with this bag until we put it to use. We could only use this for one flight as all of the zippers were poor quality, coming apart in the middle of the zipper. In addition the zipper pulls came right off with little to no pressure. Would not recommend.

The zippers are poor quality.The supplier sent us a replacement carrier for the broken zipper tag, and a tag broke on that one too.The supplier is great, the zipper quality is not.

Fit the small dog fine.

Didn't last through 1 days use. Zipper broke. Guess I should have read previous reviews more carefully.
