My Favorite Helmet
Amazing value. A great open face helmet that doesn't give you mushroom head. I'm a fan of most kinds of head, but not mushroom head. I usually wear a large. For this, I ordered a large and an XL. The large was tight and uncomfortable. The XL fits like a glove, super comfortable, and doesn't wobble in the wind. I also love the quick attach strap.

No lollipop head
Second one I've bought, and due to the one drawback. Liner isn't removable for cleaning, and I sweat a lot in hot weather and cleaning it in place didn't kill the stank after a couple of summers. Other than that, it's the perfect 3-quarter helmet for light weight and that won't give you the lollipop or mushroom head look. Very slim and compact, sits low on the head too, highly recommended. I'm not obsessed with appearance, but I don't want to look like a clown going down the road with a giant bulbous helmet on. The adjustable, quick-lock chin strap design is the best I've seen on any helmet. Click-click when you push it together and tighten, one pull on a little strap tab thing to release it.

Small sheild would not attach
I like the helmet overall, it's well made an fits great but the smaller sheild will nor snap onto the helmet. I have a full face sheild that fits great but may like to use the smaller one on days to feel the wind in my face.

Would recommend!
Great looking helmet! Bought an XL per measurements. It wasn't too snug, or too loose and almost felt like it was already broken in for you. I paired it with the Bell U3-Snap Retro Shield and am very happy. This helmet is extremely comfortable (especially wearing ear plugs or headphones) and is very light weight that you barely notice you're wearing it. Great helmet for the price and would recommend it if you're looking for a 3/4 helmet. The only cons I could think of would be this helmet creates a lot of wind noise, but if you wear ear plugs or headphones this isn't much of a problem. I noticed with the addition of the wind screen it cut the noise level down a lot. Also with anything matte black it's does tend to pick up a lot of finger prints, but again not a deal breaker.

A very good value!
Like many riders who prefer a 3/4 helmet, I was sick of the bobble-head look of most 3/4 helmets availalbe. I tried a Bell Custom 500 but it didn't even come close to fitting. I almost couldn't get it on and it crushed my skull from front to back when I managed to squeeze on on and it pressed so hard on my forehead that I could barely open my eyes. And, according to the Bell size charts, the helmet I tried was one size larger than was supposed to fit me! That was a disappointment so the search continued. I'm glad I didn't order the Bell helmet online. My head size is about 23.5" After reading reviews, I was not sure what size to order but I went by the size chart and ordered a XL and it fits very well. It's snug but not too tight which is just what I want in a new helmet. I was a little concerned by the fact that, if I remember correctly, the XL would share the same shell size as the 2XL and 3XL, meaning my shell would be larger than it would be if each size had it's own shell size - like the Bell Custom 500 helmet, but it looks much better than my other helmets and it's hard to imagine the shell size being smaller. As for comfort, the padding is a bit scratchy but not too bad. I'll get used to it. The helmet is also pretty quiet because it fits my cheeks very snugly. Of course, someone else may not experience the same thing. But the helmet is sized almost as if it was custom made for my head. I'm very happy with it and glad that I didn't have to exchange it or return it if it didn't fit a all like the Bell Custom 500 helmets. The helmet does come with the goggle strap on the rear. I mention that because there's a comment in the Q&A that says it doesn't come with the goggle strap. I understand that earlier versions of the helmet didn't have the strap so if you order one and it comes with the goggle strap, you know you have the current version of the helmet. I have read comments about the chin strap. I really like it. I'm not sure if it will hold as well as a standard D-ring setup in an impact but it's fast and convenient. A notched tab clicks into a a mating holder for quick adjustment and there's a short tab that you simply pull to release the strap. This means that with a little practice, you can put the strap on and take it off with gloves on if they aren't very heavy cold-weather gloves. The lining is not very thick and cushy like some helmets. But, comparing it to a couple other helmets I have, it's really not that much different but it won't be as cushy as some high-end helmets, of course. But, for my helmet anyway, it fits so well that that's not an issue anyway. I bought the flat black version. I can tell already that it will be hot because on my first ride of about 20 miles, I was sweating in it slightly. The temperatures were in the low to middle 60s so I expect it to be pretty hot when things get hot outside but I can live with that. But this is something to consider if you are thinking of buying this helmet. There is no ventilation. I wanted a black helmet to match my black bike. All-in-all, I'm very happy with this helmet. Comparing it to my other 3/4 helmets from any angle, it's strikingly smaller. No more bobblehead!

Best helmet I've bought! Female rider friendly!
I LOVE THIS HELMET! I am a medium sized woman, with a narrow face, so most helmets look stupid and catch air like crazy. Not this one! I originally bought a size too small, returned it, and like a flash, my new size was here!!! I was zipped up and ready to go by the time the UPS man got to the door! I ripped open the glorious package, ripped off the tags, put it on amd walked out the door to my harley. I LOVE THIS HELMET!!!! its tight enough to not catch a ton of wind, but loose enough to be comfortable and not squeeze my brains out! (Proper sizing required obviously) The strap is quick and easy, its flat black and cleans easy, and the visor removes for those of us that want to look like we own a motorcycle and not a vespa.... 6 mo later and I still LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!

Narrow but the Chin strap needs work.
Comfy helmet and thinner silhouette on the head. The chin strap needs to go tighter though. It kept sliding up my head on the bike. Not good for high winds or fast speeds. Easy release chin strap but maybe it needs more notches.

Great value
Actually a pretty good helmet! Reminds me of the old days. Mine fit perfectly right out of the box, and the quick comment strap is great. It’s pretty light, is as quiet most open face like this one, but most of us will prefer earplugs at higher speeds/longer distances. A face shield would be a big improvement. I ride a Valkyrie with a batwing fairing, but a low cost shield would be much more enjoyable for most at any real distance. I recommend! Mark
