Magpul Field Case for iPhone 5c - Retail Packaging - Clear

This case was a perfect fit for my 5C and creates a simple, attractive, even tactical, look to the phone. For reference, mine is black (please see photos). It provides an excellent grippy outer surface for the phone and yet is not too hard to pull out of a pocket. All external button and port functionality on the phone is retained though I would note that the volume and power buttons require increased effort to the point that some would think this a negative feature. The case also adds palpable weight (1.1 oz, 30 grams, or a 22% increase) .I have not dropped my phone with this case on so I can't speak to the protection it affords. Based on its robust construction, it is likely to be better protection than no case. Finally, for those to whom it matters, the tactile sensation (similar to a hard rubber) of this case is not some would consider pleasing, it's on the rougher side.

This is a well designed case that provides great protection for my iphone 5c. I purchased this since I had a Magpul case on my iPhone 4s, which gave outstanding protection and ease of use, it also like this one, fit perfectly. I had to ding this new one, one star, due to the difficulty in operating the on/off switch. With the 4s cover, a thumb press was sufficient for powering the phone off! With this new cover, I have to press harder with a finger tip or my thumb nail. I read where some other posters thought this to be a good thing, as it avoided inadvertent phone turn on in the pocket or purse however, if you have limited strength in your hands, like some of the elderly do, you may not find this as beneficial, and might I add, the auto turn off feature of the phone should mitigate any battery drain issues.

When I first saw this case I had to have it. It matched my magpul furniture on my ar perfectly. The case is a hard plastic just like a pmag. It fit my 5c perfectly, snapped right on snug and secure. It's been holding up really well for me. My only complaint is that some of the edges are sharp. It makes holding the phone in certain ways hurt your hands. I'm not saying it'll cut you, but it's sharp and uncomfortable. Also my case had a lot of left over flashing on it when I got it. I used a file to take it down smooth. Also did that with some of the sharper corners. It's a good rugged unique case for the price.

Had the field case for my iPhone 3GS so when i upgraded grabbing this case was a no-brainer. It definitely fits much more snug than the 3GS model (presumably from maybe the phone being so new and maybe possibly future adjustments to the design will be made) but either way it's protected my phone from a few falls of between 2-3ft with no issues. Doesn't affect use of the side or top buttons, though getting at the silent/loud switch is tricky if you have stubby fingers or short fingernails. Not a big issue though. The spot for the headphone jack might be tricky if your headphone cable has a large end to it, but I've yet to come across anything that didn't fit yet.Also, the texture/material doesn't get caught in your pocket, for those who might be wondering if it'll be easy to get. I keep it in my back pocket in jeans and it doesn't get snagged or caught on the way in or out of my pockets.

I like it. It adds texture and body to my phone without making it "sticky" or hard to put in or pull out of my pocket. It's ruggedly sturdy, it can take abuse without showing any scars, and the blue color compliments my green iphone well (which wasn't a big deal to begin with, but it's nice). It isn't going to save my phone from a huge disaster, but I feel confident that if my phone fell out of my pocket, it wouldn't be the end of the world. I do like how well it fits my phone. It fits snuggly around my phone preventing dirt and dust building up underneath the case and scratching the phone. Overall, because of the cost-to-quality ratio, I am satisfied. It is definitely worth more than what I paid for it!

I had owned a Magpul case for my iPhone 5 previously for well over a year with many drops and zero damage to the case or the phone. When my stepson broke his previous iPhone 5C case, I recommended this one to him (and ended up buying it for his birthday). He is thrilled with how it looks and since he dropped the phone immediately after putting the case with no damage to either, I'm confident that it will work well in the long run.The case itself has a nice texture - not too slippery but also not rubbery to where it's hard to get in a pocket or attracts lots of lint. Plastic is fairly firm but flexible enough to be easily removed from the phone if needed.

I love the look of this case. It is not too hard to remove, but hard enough to feel secure. The best method seems to be pushing away the corners at the bottom. I was concerned after ordering it that the lip would not wrap enough of the screen with my new, thicker tempered glass screen protector. It's okay. It's still raised above the screen, but I might like it better if it were raised more.

Precision fit, nice color options (neither day-glo nor black/grey...I'll always find my phone in a stack). Comes on/off with appropriate ease/difficulty, cinches well at all the gaps. Works perfectly with my Zagg InvisibleShield laminated glass screen protector. Texture case makes it fairly grippy, yet still slides into pocket smoothly. Would like a shade more "tackiness" in material...without the ridges, the case might be a wee bit slippery. Very pleased overall.

Fits the iPhone 5c perfectly. The orange case has received stains from being in dark pockets, but I have not tried to clean off yet.Overall, great case. I have dropped the phone a few times and it still works.

Great item which provides great protection from drops & scratches & good grip on the phone while still staying slim & not being bulky. The seller was great; shipping the case quickly & providing good communications.
