Large Bio-bag Eco-Nest

For rats and other small critters, I don't recommend this product as a base bedding. It is pure cardboard and will just sit and stay wet. I've been using this for dig box material and it's great for rats to dig and burrow in. Highly recommend for this use but not for a base.

Purchased at the end of July 2020. A huge bag, bigger than I anticipated. I wish that there had been more detail added to the product description for me to understand that it wasn't heat treated. I saw a review that said someone had used it for their strawberries and thought I could use it for mulch for my plants/vegetable. I imagine if this was bough for pet feed or bedding it would be great, however, although it did serve to retain moisture it sprouted grass in not just the plant pots but wherever the breeze/birds/squirrels might take it. I will be giving it away to anyone that has pets and wants it.

We use this as bedding in the hutches in our hedgehog hospital.After finding most of the straw offered online to be either rubbish or loosely-packed and expensive, we were delighted to find this brand comes in tightly-packed bags and is very clean.It's the only brand we use now. Happy to recommend it.

Value for money

Bought this along with a few outdoor wooden hutches for a few stray cats in my area.As soon as i put the straw in, i looked out the window and the cat was lying in the box with his head resting on the straw looking out at me, loving it.
