I read this with my class, as Katherine Johnson is one of our inspirational figures at school. I thought the quality of the text and illustrations was great and it really engaged children, many of whom went off to find out more for themselves.

Saw the film but this book was prefect for my Nine year old daughter. A must have for the book shelf - fantastic female role models at a difficult time in history.

Quite long substantial story, well written

This is a wonderful book about the life of Katherine Johnson. It is written so young children can understand the story of her life with appropriate context. The illustrations are wonderful! I highly recommend this book!

I loved it! And my daughters too❤️❤️ It was a good follow up after a day spent in a planetarium and a children friendly class on how spacecrafts work.I wish I could be the official French translator of this book.

I love a good book. As a teacher, I love a good book that also has a great message. This book, Counting on Katherine is well written. It's pictures are great. The message is fantastic. I was very impressed. I can't wait to introduce my students to Katherine. What a great hero for girls!
