Q: There's a plastic or metal clip on the adjustment band. It looks like your head would rest right against it and would not be comfortable?

The clips are painful for me and I’m a side sleeper. I woke up with one embedded into my head. The band hits the top of my ears as well. I covered the clips with quilt batting. If that doesn’t work, I’m sending the mask back.

Q: Can I use Woolite to wash this?

Yes, you can. I have had this mask since July of 2015, and it gets heavy use. I occasionally sweat at night, so keeping it clean is important. I sanitize my stainless steel sink, fill it about 1/4 of the way with cool water, and put in a touch of Woolite Delicates (with the pink cap). It’s safe to use on silk. I gently agitate the water with the mask, let it soak for a few minutes, then rinse and gently squeeze the excess water out. I place it between two fresh pieces of paper towel to gently pat the mask and remove excess water, then just hang it from the shower curtain pole to air dry. I use this 8-10 hours a day, if not more, and this has helped to keep the mask in great shape.

Q: Does it leave the nose free, unencumbered so it can breathe just the way it does in daytime, or is there pressure so breath is slightly more effort?

I have a very small nose and often have trouble with it being blocked by any number of things, but this mask does a great job. There's just a little pressure across the eyes but the nose is completely unobstructed

Q: I suffer from migraines and anything tight around the head can trigger them. Have other migraine-sufferers used this mask? How did you like it?

I have chronic migraine and need good blackout, but nothing too tight on my head, which is a hard combo to find. I have a drawer full of sleep masks--some were failures, others were good but the strap stretched out to where they are no longer functional. This mask is my go-to mask now. Very soft, not super thick, very adjustable, strap has not stretched out too much. Depending on the shape of your face/nose, how much light gets through might vary, but I love this mask!
