Are these good for storing tinctures in? Also how are they about rusting?

I buy them all the time. (I am an encaustic artist). For me, they stay on a hot palate and there is no corrosion or rusting. I also store shellac glaze in them and have no problem, The lids fit very tightly.

I don't know about oven safe, but I've been pouring hot wax in these containers at about a 180° Fahrenheit. They seem to be fine at that temp, no burning, no discoloration, and no bending of the metal.

Yes. These are food safe. Can use them to store spices or whatever you want. I use them to put bees wax/ mineral oil mixture for cutting boards.
