I did not pay enough attention to the description like a few others have and thought the outer plates were thing gauge metal. They are metallic colored strips glued on to leather, but they look the part so I was not upset. The straps and material are sturdy, as I have put them on several times and have experienced no issues with the integrity of the material. My only caution to other buyers is that the material can be a bit rough on bare skin over long periods so you may want to have an additional layer under them. I am happy with my purchase and encourage these vambraces to others who are looking for an affordable addition to their costume.

They fit my young adult son, they were perfect for his custom.

Decent and comfortable to wear but disappointed when they came in and the metal plates were just plastic material.

While the leather is faux, I expected the metal looking parts to be metal instead of just the spikes.

I added this to a my dark jedi costume. It was the little bit of flair that went initially unnoticed due to my long sleeves on the outfit... ...until I wielded my lightsabers and the wrist guards showed reflecting the dark red glow of my sabers. I actually had a couple oohhs and aahs for this slight add-on. As mentioned by other reviews before it is not actual metal which is good as that would be heavy for cosplay fun. It is also a versatile piece of equipment as it went well with my Harry Potter Death Eater cosplay later on. I plan to add it to a renfaire outfit I'm slowly working on. Overall, very satisfied with this product.

There was nothing I disliked. They worked perfect and shipping was quick

These ain’t that bad but I’m using long. It’s resulted in one of the straps to break up when I was wearing it.
