I bought this for one reason: to be able to download movies to watch offline. This way I can take it in our motorhome. And though it has it's quirks, for the price it does what I need it to do. But be aware of these quirks. I have a Roku box, I've tried out the xfinity box, and the google dangle. None of these allow downloading. But their interfaces and remotes are all much better than this box. Roku really is the gold standard in both apps, interface, and performance (other than downloading). Now that I have it I realize now what an Android TV box is... it is just that... and android device that has many of the Android menus (sort of). Think of it as a phone with lots of storage that connects to your TV via HDMI (or casting, which never works well for me, which is why I don't do this from my phone). I've downloaded a movie, turned off wifi, and started it back up and am able to log into my Prime account, and watch the movie without being one wifi. Storage is more than ample. I figure at the "best" quality on prime I can download about 240 hours of content. AND I think there is a way to add more with an sd card. I don't need to But it has a couple of quirks. 1. The remote is not very good. You push a button until you hear or feel it click and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't... unless you push even harder and then the screen reacts. The only way to get to some of the menu items, like the android movements at the bottom of the screen (back, recent apps, etc) is to use the mouse funtion on the remote. This works rather well, but is slow. You click on the mouse button and then move the mouse around with the arrow keys. I get around this by using a free bluetooth mouse/keyboard on my phone that connects via bluetooth. I use an app that is called just "Bluetooth Keyboard & Mouse". This allows me to pop up a keyboard on my phone making it easier to enter text. And it's easy then to control the box while laying in my bed in the motorhome! Or, if I wanted one more device, I'd get a combination hand held keyboard mouse. 2. I have yet to figure out how to configure the main apps displayed on the home screen. I even hooked up a mouse and tried to click and drag like I would with my finger on my phone... but nothing. The smaller apps at the bottom can be changed. So that's where I put my Prime app and that is really all I need. 3. Check out answers or other posts if you are looking to run a particular app. I know this will run both Netflix and Prime. But it will not run Disney+ The Disney+ app won't allow it to be downloaded onto this box. 4. Manual isn't very useful. If you know how to get around an android phone, you'll figure this out.

Poor quality device for the price
I bought this device expecting a premium and powerful streaming device. However, I have been left sorely disappointed with the quality of the device. Firstly, the build quality of the actual box and the remote is very flimsy. Secondly, the image quality is good but the screen does not fully show on the TV when you open up such as Netflix and YouTube. Thirdly, for some reason the sound quality produced from the device is extremely poor when it plays from the TV. I am sorely disappointed in this device.
