BUNN A10 Pour-O-Matic Coffee Brewer

I don't usually post reviews, however, I've had my A10 for two weeks and wanted to share my thoughts on this remarkable product.I've wanted this machine for a couple of years now and my old coffee maker (notice I said maker, not brewer) finally gave up the ghost. I ordered my A10 from amazon and couldn't wait to get it. It arrived well packed from the factory with 100 Bunn coffee filters. (you must use Bunn filters) From out of the box to my first cup of coffee was approximately 15 minutes. Once filled with water the A10 came to life and in 6 minutes it was ready to brew coffee. Three minutes later I had 10 cups of the best coffee I've ever made at home. Some advice. You must have the decanter in place as you pour in the water. Don't think you can use the decanter to pour water into the machine. You can't pour the water into the machine fast enough before it starts running out. It's almost immediate.Ever wonder how restaurants always seem to make good strong, but never bitter coffee? Well chances are you're drinking coffee that was brewed through a Bunn coffee brewer. I now have that coffee every morning. Bunn has certainly done their homework and figured out how to make excellent coffee very quickly.I did plug my A10 into a timer that starts heating the water at 5:00 am. I make coffee at 5:30 in the morning during the work week, and don't see the point in keeping the water hot all day if it's not being used, However, The timer does have a manual over ride so weekends, I usually keep it on all day and make a few half pots throughout the day that way its always fresh. It only takes one minute to make 4 cups. It works well for me.Bottom line Folks, If you really appreciate good brewed coffee, then you owe it to yourself to get a Bunn. In my opinion it was worth every penny. The machine is built like a tank. The switch for the Hot Plate is like something you would see on tractor. Very solidly built and looks great sitting on your kitchen counter top. It certainly makes a statement but more importantly will make the best cup of coffee you've ever had in your own home.

You don't need a morning exercise video, you need the Bunn A10, the Bunn of Steel!The Bunn A10 isn't just any old coffee maker, in fact, it isn't just any old Bunn. This Bunn is a professional model, which means, it is the same model you would find at a small IHOP, or Waffle House, or any other restaurant which has the need of a single hotplate coffee maker. The difference between this and MOST commercial models is that most can brew two pots (reg and decaf) at once, and have three hotplates. This one is more suited for home use, while retaining the commercial heavy usage capabilities.This model isn't some modernized sleek brewer with a million plastic parts built to last for 2 years. This is a metal plated bad boy with few working parts, and a mechanics sensibility in design. The metal spray head is replacable, and they have plastic ones for hard water. The heater unit has its own power switch in addition to the on/warmer/off switch.Bunn's brew fast by keeping a reservoir of water hot at all times, and the water you pour in today will be tomorrows hot coffee. The taste of the coffee is superb, but it takes more grinds to get it strong. The carafe you get with this unit is not the one pictured, which looks just like the commercial carafes, which was a bit of a disappointment at first. The carafe is the NCD decanter, which is more drum shaped and has the flip up lid. This is better for home use, as we found out later, since it is very easy to clean.If you are looking for a coffee pot built like a tank, built to last, which makes great coffee quick, saving you precious morning minutes, I would say look no further. You have found your machine.Highly recommended.

I ordered this coffee maker thinking that this would be an upgrade vs. my cuisanart machine. WRONG.. the first bunn I recieved was defective right out of the box. It would not brew coffee,would not heat the water at all. Amazon sent another right away and this bunn only heated coffee to 160 degrees,much less than the 200 degrees the manual said it would do. If I added a little cream to my coffee it would be cold.Service from Amazon was terrific,and made a bad experience less of a hassle. I will order again from Amazon.com , but no more BUNN coffee makers.

Love this coffe pot, expect many years of great coffe to be made by this bunn. Excellent build quality, built to last in a commercial environment so will last a long time for me at home
