can you brew this product at 125 degreees or less, or are the chunks to big for that ? boiling water supposedly kills nutrients. thoughts?

That's correct.  Extreme high critical temperatures destroy the enzymes of food that are needed for human nutrition.  Also, of all these vitamins - Vitamins A, D, E, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, folate and B-12 ...... thiamine, niacin and folate get destroyed significantly through excessive high heat or water.  You can check it out by doing your own scientific research.  To answer your question re: brewing chaga chunks at 125 degrees F - directions are included inside the large bag of chaga chunks.  I followed the easy directions: "brewed" the chunks in the crockpot.  I pressed the "Keep Warm" button, walked away, went to sleep for the night.  The tea was ready to drink in 8 hours, when I woke up.  If you're using this tea as an antioxidant against cancer, be sure to keep your diet alkaline.  Chaga works.  When you recycle it, it tastes like it's diluted.  However, I still use the diluted liquid, but add more new, strong tea in, with.  Good luck.  God bless.

How long can this be made availible?a burl takes 5-6 years to form.not a short harvest crop.

Hi, thank you for your question. We sustainably harvest all of our Chaga, meaning we do not cut the tree, and we leave part of the Chaga on the tree. We harvest in remote areas away from roads. In previously harvested areas, the Chaga is regrowing within 2-3 years to the same size and in some cases larger. As long as it is harvested sustainably, Chaga will be available for years and years to come.

Question 3

I have a white 'mildew' on my used chaga chunks.  what can i do?  want to used them again.

As soon as my brew is done I remove the chunks and allow to cool, then I put them in a container and freeze them. Keeping it in the fridge causes condensation that leads to mildew on practically anything because of condensation. I won't ever store it in the fridge.

Posted this the other day, just copy and pasting in case anyone missed it :)Yes, we use sustainable harvesting practices. What this means: When removing the Chaga from the tree, we don't take the whole Chaga, we leave some so that it will regenerate, and we have seen evidence where it does regenerate after about two years, to be about the same size Chaga that we had originally harvested. We also only harvest off of living birch trees. We know some of you are using this Chaga as medicine and we take that very seriously.Very best,Kate
