This combo cost less than a replacement Stihl bar alone. Going from .063 to .050 might not seem like much but it is noticeable when cutting a large volume of wood at once. The chain has stayed sharper for longer than my Stihl ones do.

Bought for my Stihl MS250. It is a great light weight bar and chain. It cuts extremely fast and better than the factory Stihl bar and chain. I would by again. Looking at getting an additional chain.

Installed on my Stihl MS250. Performed as expected for around 2 hours, then I noticed it felt like the chain was tightening, so I loosened the bolts on the side to adjust, but it would not loosen. I then took the side plate off and discovered that the bar chain guide appeared to squeeze inward pressing against the chain. I have been using chain saws for 30+ years and ALWAYS put chain oil in BEFORE the fuel. I put my old Stihl bar and chain back on and worked another couple of hours to finish the job without issues.

How is the best way to improve performance of a Stihl chainsaw? Oregon bar and chain.

I understand that having anything "new" is better than my used bar and chain, and so I don't have a direct side-by-side comparison. That said, I recall when I first got my M250 3+yrs ago, new everything, and it would bog down halfway through a log, and just seemed to take longer than it should have. With this new Oregon FastCut bar and chain, it has drastically improved my productivity with cleaning up all of my Derecho storm damaged trees and brush clearing.

Fits a stihl 025 perfectly I ran my first one for two days mostly cutting smaller trees and trimming but on the second day I tried cutting down a two foot diameter red cedar tree and this bar will not hold up to that big of a job it warped and started cutting sideways three quarters of the way through but I did order me another one to use for trimming and small jobs and will buy again.

Fits great and a good value for the money. Seems to stay sharp longer than most chains that I've used.

Bought for my Stihl MS250. Bar and chain fit and work great, but not so much with a chainsaw mill. I bought this to hopefully squeeze a couple more inches out of my saw for milling larger logs on my chainsaw mill, but really I gained nothing over the stock 16" bar - this bar pinches very easy near the tip, stopping the chain from spinning. By the time I got far enough back to hold tight and allow the chain to move freely, I was about a 1/2" past where my 16" bar was. If you're looking for a bigger bar for milling, I'd suggest not buying this one.

My stihl ms 250 saw came with a 16" bar, the added length of the 18" speedcut bar and chain is a bonus . Nice and smooth in the cut and works very well, swap the chain to a stihl 23 rs pro narrow kerf chisel chain and see how you like it 👍

Good quality bar and chain combo. Fits my MS250 CBE perfectly. Cuts well. Will be putting to the torture test this weekend.
