not a durable item but for emergencies
since these wont be used unless its raining, i am not worried about the material lasting forever. these are not the kind of item to last years when used daily but they will be fine when used in the car for rain and can be used in the winter for wind protection and heat retention. they fit just fine as well over regular clothing so you dont need to take off clothes to wear this over it. AFTER SOME USAGE THE JACKET IS STILL IN TACT AND DOES ITS JOB, BUT THE PANTS HAVE NEARLY SPLIT IN TWO FROM JUST ONE OR TWO TIMES OF BENDING TO PICK UP SOMETHING FROM THE GROUND. THEY ARE STILL USABLE IN KEEPING THE LEGS DRY FOR NOW, BUT IT WONT BE LONG BEFORE THEY SPLIT COMPLETELY AND ARE NO LONGER DOING THEIR JOB. THEY ARE A CHEAP ITEM FOR AN EMERGENCY BUT DONT COUNT ON ANY LONG TERM USAGE.

Good Rain Gear, Not for Rugged Conditions However
My husband is a conductor for the Rail Road and has to get off the train in wet conditions many times. He needed a rain suit that can be carried with him in his backpack and not take up much room. I found this one by Frogg Toggs and he loves it. The price was right so I purchased it. It is very light weight and takes up minimal room in his back pack. He loves the Khaki color instead of the normal banana yellow. We ordered it in XL and it fit him perfectly over his work clothes. The last suit he had we ordered a 2XL thinking he would need the extra room since he's a XL/2XL in clothes. He's 6'0 tall and weighs about 230 lbs. and the XL fit him nicely not too tight or too loose. The quality is a little better than expected for an inexpensive suit, and the Frogg Toggs is a reputable brand. It comes in a nice bag that you can fold the suit back into when not in use. Here are the pros and cons of this set as we found them even with several cons this set still gets a slid 5 stars from us. Pros: -Great Price -Many Sizes and Colors Available -Fit Wonderfully -Very Lightweight, Great when you have minimal storage -Material is breathable and moveable Cons: -No access slits to pants underneath. -No pockets in Jacket or Pants. (Guess that's to help keep out the rain) -No zipper access for using the bathroom. -Might could use a drawstring on the pants. -The material tears easy if it gets caught but can be repaired with duct tape easily -No elastic bottoms on pants and this would be helpful. A few suggestions as this is our second rain suit purchase. Our first was Dri-Ducks by Frogg Toggs. BTW we like this set better but I digress. First suggestion. Order your size, don't order a size bigger thinking you'll need it bigger to go over your clothes. The product allows for clothing underneath in it's design. I would suggest this for yard work, dog walking, and working conditions where thereβs not a lot of strenous movement. I would not suggest it for motorcycle gear. *I paid full price for this product and hope that you have found this review useful to you in some way.

Pants tore at seam even before I went outside in the rain!!
I walk 4 miles daily, rain or shine. I purchased this a month ago. Today was a typical rainy day in early April so I decided to put the two piece suit on for my daily walk. I purchased the large size. I am trim, at 6'2" and 188 lbs. I had to take the trash out from the garage and just partially bent over to pick up bags of shredded paper for disposal and I heard the split at the seam at the seat of the pants. Please see attached photo. I could not believe it. This thing was put together with scotch tape and that is too complimentary. Since I had the suit on I decided to give it a test drive none the less. I am a fair person. The suit kept me totally dry. The pants legs were long enough to prevent my jeans underneath from getting soaked. Most of the time I walked with the head covering untied. It does get warm. Today was about 55 degrees and I had a light jacket on underneath the rain jacket. It was comfortable. Although the suit did what it was supposed to do, the tear in the pants on the FIRST day of use is totally unacceptable. It is past the 30 day period for return but I have been a customer of Amazon since 2002 and will probably get some dispensation. This rain suit is a piece of garbage. I highly recommend that you do not purchase and look elsewhere. If I could give it a rating less than "one", like minus 10, I would have.

Lightest Weight
On my scales, size M Jacket 5.6 oz., Pants 4.2 oz., Sack 0.7 oz. This is a fly weight rain suit. Goes in my one week (or less) pack and another in the work truck. I bought this because of the AT through hiker review. I, too, through hiked the AT and understand his philosophy. However, for me, on a 6 month trip I would buy something more durable. This is perfect for lite-and-fast hikers, short trip camping/hiking insurance, tourist sight seeing trips and impromptu work in the rain events. Slightly over-sized, under layers work well, however big boots off to put the pants on. I looked closely at the photos and used some nylon repair tape to reinforce the pants where they seem to tear out at, preemptive maintenance, hope it helps in the heat of the moment when I need these. They dry quick and roll/pack up small. Worked very well here on the farm during the last rain storm (3 1/2 hr.) and the pants stayed together.

Decent lightweight rain jacket, pants are a different story
I needed a lightweight and packable rain suit for my job doing parcel delivery. Overall, I think the product is decent, and works as advertised. The prose for me are that the jacket has proven in a year's worth of use to be reasonably durable and extremely lightweight and packable. The pants have been a different story for me, as before purchase I had read reviews that the pants would split down the crotch seam from just general use. I decided to go ahead with the purchase and make up my own mind, and initially everything seemed to work well enough, but after about four uses, and trying to be reasonably gentle with the use of the pants, the seam of mine split just like everyone else's showing this that the manufacturing process for the pants at least seem to have an issue that leaves a lot to be desired with regards to durability. I still use the jacket, but the pants weren't worth salvaging so those got thrown in the trash. I'd like to see better design for the pants to ensure their durability and wouldn't mind a means to allow the bottom of the pants to be cuffed or at least form fitted around the ankles or over A rain boot to keep them from being so loose.

Functional
Very lightweight! Best for over your clothing! Perfect for my dog walk! The xl is like an xxl.. so size down if you want more of a form fitting look.. still can wear over jeans easily! For $20 itβll keep u dry! Not warm.. easy on/off and throw in a bag. Also really good for biking.. totally affordable and functional! Win win!

They most definitely do the job
I was not get caught in the rain anymore arriving to work dripping wet, so I ordered this set of pants and light jacket. I basically just put them over my work clothes and walk in the rain π§ worry free. It's super lite and really water proof. I wish they had pockets unfortunately they do not so if you need to pay for something or make a phone call, you'd have to look like a weirdo and stuff your hands in your pants ππ€·π»ββοΈ. Small price to pay for staying dry. ( also you might be confused as a Door dash person π€£)
