This has been working great without any trouble for 3.5 years
I've used a few of these kinds of products over the past 6 years. My original favorite wasn't available when I started a new job, so I tried a $50 Anker option that only worked well for a few months - that Anker one started telling me it was charging my laptop when it didn't have any power, and then sometimes wouldn't charge when it did have power. I've also tried the Anker "sidecar" variant that plugs into both left-side USB-C ports and that has also been flaky for me with the standard USB ports not working consistently.I was nervous about this one, but it's been a champ. I've used it with several different MacBook variants all without problem.

Worked OK for 4 years across Windows and Mac, won't connect to Windows 11 ThinkPad
We got these docks during COVID so that my husband and I could share the same setup. His work is on mac laptops, mine on windows. This dock has worked fine for connectivity to monitor, printer, mouse, and keyboard but does not power/recharge a battery on- 2 mac laptops- a mac mini- my 2019-era Thinkpad (running windows 10)but will not connect to my 2024-era Thinkpad running windows 11. It makes the "connecting" sound and then the "disconnecting sound" and that repeats until you unplug the dock.

A great dock that just keeps on chugging.
I love how clean this dock makes my desk. I can also easily grab it to go. (I mounted it to the monitor base with picture mounting putty) It has never given me fits and works flawlessly. In my use case, my only suggestion for improvement would be to include a USB port on the end next to the headphone jack, or on the end where the cord comes out to quickly plug in a USB stick. I have to remove it from it's mounting to insert a USB device since my computer only has USB-C. This is more my own situation, but that extra port would make this a perfectly flawless experience.

Worked great for a while...until it didn't :/
I bought two of these docks...the first for my home workstation and the second for a custom mobile work station. I bought because it seemed to be a good one-cable solution for powering my MacBook Pro and using USB peripherals. Both docks have lasted me almost exactly a year from the first use before ports started dying...which is a huge inconvenience. For the dock I used with my home workstation, first the ethernet port died—requiring me to hurriedly get an ethernet dongle since I rely on a solid internet connection for video conference meetings for work. Next, the HDMI connection started to flicker...although it's holding up as of right now, I'm just waiting for it to stop working. Recently this week, all the USB ports decided to stop working. For the second dock in my mobile workstation (which I got primarily to use as a one-cable solution to power my MacBook and use the USB hub)...the USB hub conveniently died first. It appears to be a well-made, sleek dock...but for the money I'd definitely look elsewhere for a docking station with longer than a 12 month shelf life. I decided to go all in and get a CalDigit TS4 to replace because of a better brand & quality reputation.

design needs work but actually pretty good
Decent range of function, works well with my 2020 13" M1 Macbook Pro. Well-priced, and provides enough power for this low-end mac model. When I looked for a new hub for my newest MBP, my 1st choice of brand was overpriced and out of stock, and cheaper hardware had some really awful reviews. So I returned to Vava who make a well regarded travel-sized hub that has worked very well for years of regular use on my 2017 MBP & had my employer buy me this unit.I'm happy to say this one works just as well. No driver issues, works as expected without any special setup.Important to note: the design doesn't allow using both display outputs at once for separate displays-- mirrored mode only if you want to use both. That's apparently an Apple/MacOS limit of some kind.A note on charging: If you have a high-end MBP, the power passthrough from this unit will be insufficient to handle max draw, but will still provide partial power & should be sufficient to recharge when idle. Apple charging is "smart" like a smartphone, so it can make use of a lower power source, so don't be put off by the low-ish power number. And this hub has easily kept up with my first-gen M1, although the power number is a little lower than the OEM wall adapter rating.Despite all my praise, I drop a star from my for two reasons. One is the ENORMOUS power brick, 1990s style, much larger than the hub itself despite the modest power requirements. Having that integrated would be nice. Or using a small DC power block and a USB-C connector? Instead we have an old fashioned AC adapter and non-USB connector. The other minor issue is the power layout. Having the hub's input and USB-C out on the same end of the unit would be better. Or on extreme ends of the unit. The way it is (one connector on the end, one on the front of the other end) makes it so you can't position the unit in front of a laptop that has USB-C inputs on only the left side (most macbooks, probably other brands). The connectors would then face away from the user, so you can't fix it in place in your workspace, and it ends up having to sit both loose & askew, with the connectors harder to reach.Clearly this wasn't designed with a "workstation" setup in mind.Overall, provides enough juice, no issues with casual use, no drivers required. Ethernet throughput seems normal. Thus it's Recommended.

Great product.
I purchased two of these: one for my home office and one for my office office. I spent probably 10 hours online reviewing and researching this item for my specific needs and what I needed this to be able to handle for my work and home use. It has been over a year now and they are still working flawlessly. I was hoping I would never discover that I needed any other connections for some peripheral, and I have not. Very pleased.

Worked great for 17 months...
Everything worked great, the USB ports, the hdmi ports, the speed was good until one fine day the usb ports started malfunctioning and went bust. This happened a few days ago and I plan to contact their customer care and see if they can provide a solution. pretty sure it is out of warranty right now since it has been 17 months since I purchased this. Will update this review once I get in touch with the customer care.
