Quikrete Quikrete-1317-00 1317-00 Liquid Cement Color, 10oz, Charcoal

Loved this product! I didn’t put it in my concrete mix, I actually put it in a pump spray bottle and just sprayed it on. Took about 2 coats to get it were I wanted it and then sealed the concrete. Looks Amazing! Exactly the look I wanted for my outdoor kitchen.

I am very pleased with this colorant. I used 1 bottle to color 250 lbs of crack resistant cement (90 lbs more than bottle states it can be used for) and it is the perfect shade of grey. I was pretty lazy about measuring it, doing a 5 second pour into each bucket of water I used, and it came out more consistent than I expected. I wonder if people that had issues getting a good color didn't shake the bottle before using it, or maybe didn't realize how white uncolored cement is when dry. I'm very happy and have bought several more bottles to widen my new walkway.

Depending on what you are trying to achieve...it will never be a dark charcoal no matter how much you add. Bit if you are ok with a dark gray, it worked well. Just keep it off of anything you dont want stained.

Darkens my thinset very well, with cement and never is really completely black that's why they call it charcoal I imagine.Don't spill it though...

This stuff is amazing. After looking for something to actually restore my front stone porch I was only finding a bunch of expensive options until ran across this. I got on my hands and knees with a pair of long rubber gloves and I washed this into my porch using a wash cloth. Wax on wax off Mr Miyagi style. I then let it dry over night. I noticed the next day that residue did come up on my the bottom of my shoe as fine dust. But no worries I can tell that the coloring was sticking to the concrete stones, and plus I had planned to seal the color in with weather proof sealer. I let the first coat of sealer dry for 2 hours and then added another coat using a chemical spray bottle from Lowes. PRESTO! My porch looks awesome. It has now been a couple of months since I applied to my porch and it looks amazing still. The color came out as a dark gray with some light gray mixed in color.

I used this product together with Drylock to seal a nice 3D aquarium background (pictured). The coloration was easy to vary for shading purposes by mixing incrementally. The sandy texture was just what I was looking for too.
