While it's not adjustable, it's also not black plastic.

This is a fantastic looking stand, very cool how it’s created with just two simple bends. The wood is very well finished with a nice even color and no sharp, rough or splintered edges. It holds the laptop at a pretty good angle; however if it is a large laptop with a heavy lid (display) you’ll have to make sure that you haven’t leaned the display away from you too far as the laptop could tip over backwards. My laptop is a big, heavy HP made of aluminum with a metal chassis and I hade to be mindful of the display angle.One other potential shortcoming is that the lip on the lower edge of the stand can be a bit to short to keep the laptop from sliding over the edge. My laptop has an angled, thin and beveled edge such that it sometimes wants to ride up over the lower edge of the stand. But if you keep the display angle upright, it’s usually not much if a problem.

i love this keyboard stand, it helps my posture and is wonderful for a small music studio set up ( i can slide my midi controllers and keyboards underneath my laptop now!) it looks gorgeous too. perfect size if you don't want to have a separate keyboard as it's easy to reach still, and my posture is better with it. so happy i went with this one.

Very wobbly. Look elsewhere for a stand because yours might be too. The base of the unit I received is warped so there is a significant wobble. This thing would be great if only the quality control were better. I can't believe they sell defective units. Annoying.

So my kitty loves hanging out on my laptop so I can’t see the screen. And I got a regular stand but that just gave her a pedestal lol. This is perfect. It even raises the screen higher so it is level with my 2nd monitor and it’s at an angle so she just gives it a dirty look and moves on.

Item looks great and is study, but the measurements are wrong. I wanted a laptop riser for the top portion of my desk, so I was looking at the dimensions of the base of this product before purchasing it. As you can see, the base is not just about 6 inches as it is described in the seller’s images. It barely fits on my desk, but it looks nice, it is solid wood, and it fits my 13 inch MacBook Pro. Also, no assembly and it was packaged well- except they did ship it in it’s original packaging.
