I purchased this item with caution since I noticed some reviewers mentioning that this leaked while others said it didn't. I can see how this would leak if it got wet after receiving it; however, it is very comfy and doesn't make that plasticy sound when you move on it. Best of all, it doesn't smell plasticy either. We bought this for my son and we've had no accidents yet so I can't say whether it would leak or not. We have this as an additional layer on top of another sheet just in case... I'll update if we have an accident on it but its been a couple of weeks already (and fingers crossed) I won't need to.

I have this product on three beds in my house. I purchased them for my children's beds and they have remained on ever since. These products have been on the mattresses for 6 years in two cases and 3 years in the most recent. Two of the beds have been used by adult guests that have come to stay and they did not even notice that they were on the bed.Pros:1.) It keeps the mattress and the foam topper dry2.) They are easy to wash if needed3.) They are comfortable to sleep on unlike the old vinyl covers (assuming sheets over-top)4.) They do not make for a hot sleep experience5.) They do not make noise when shifting positions or rollingCons:1.) Long term (multi-day) liquid exposure might cause a failureI will say that I do not dry them even though the manufacturer says it should be fine. I only air dry them after washing. They usually dry within a day. We have had one minor failure but I think that was due to an accident that went unnoticed because of an early morning trip departure (and my son not saying anything) and remained for a few days until we returned. We have never had a failure when the accident was rectified the next morning. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this product and its performance.

This is the best mattress cover I have used and I have tried many. I have three huge dogs who LOVE to roll around in the dirt, then straight to my bed. I bought a new and expensive mattress and was desperate for a good protector. All of the other ones I have tried either are uncomfortable and noisy, or don't work in the waterproof department. I've also had many covers that eithera.) the zipper broke (if it covered the whole mattress)b.) the seams ripped on the part that goes down the sidesc.) would not stay in placeThis mattress protector has alleviated all of those issues! Not only does it always stay in place, it is very comfortable to sleep on (under sheets, of course), AND it has been a lifesaver to my mattress! Sure it's not entirely waterproof. If you dump a bucket of liquid on it and let it sit there, it will eventually soak through. If not washed correctly, it will also begin to lose some of it's waterproofing abilities. But overall, this has saved my mattress from many wet, muddy paws, puppy pee, doggy vomit, and numerous spilled drinks.I am here to buy another one, not because of a product malfunction, but because one of my dogs decided to use it as a chew toy (don't ask)... So now it has holes in it - no fault of the product itself. I am VERY impressed and am purchasing one for each bed in my house. The quality far exceeds the price, which is surprising as most $100+ protectors I have bought are pure junk!

This mattress Protector is loose on my queen size bed. The terry cloth part that sits on top of the mattress is slightly larger than the mattress. I pull the edges under the mattress as much as possible to get it as smooth as possible, but it doesn't stay. We wind up with the mattress protector wrinkling under our sheets and creating uncomfortable ridges. We have a sleep number bed with a slight pillow top. Nothing real deep, but certainly not shallow either. These should have fit, but I think they are just a little too big for our bed. As for functionality, they do the job I purchased them for. We have several small dogs and tend to lick their feet at bed time. Sometimes they get a little carried away and we wind up with a wet spot. I noticed a couple spots where we not have a stain because of this, so I purchased this mattress protector to prevent any more staining and so far it's done the job.

For months, maybe years now, I have been having the issue of my 3" memory foam mattress pad sleeping off my mattress and onto the floor every night. This has been an incredible drag, because it's meant that I had to drag it back up and remake it every morning to be able to use it at all.This item has totally SOLVED THE PROBLEM for me! I got to thinking, although I didn't yet know that there were terry cloth mattress covers made, but I knew that I needed some kind of abrasive surface to spread out between mattress and memory foam. And I FOUND IT! Terry cloth and foam are indeed hostile towards each other intrinsically, so a friend helped me strip the bed, flip the mattress, lay out your cover, put the foam mattress pad back on, and remake the bed.Voila! Problem totally solved, there has been no slipping at all for several days now. This is so wonderful because I recently had two knee replacement surgeries done, and stretching across the bed every day has been very difficult for me. (The bed is flush to the wall.)
