Q: Can I fit 2 HDMI cables, 1 coax and speaker wires thru this unit

I don't think that should be a problem, but it might be kinda tight. FYI, there are newer HDMI cables out there that are significantly thinner than standard cables that would make things easier. Also, you mention speaker wires which leads me to believe that you are using a receiver with your set-up. If so, and if it does HDMI switching, you can eliminate all but one HDMI cable going to you TV.

Q: Do I still need a surge protector and is it even possible to integrate one with this unit?

You can easily integrate a surge protector. You would simply plug the surge protector into the wall and then the CMK70 into the protector.

Q: Can I run multiple cords through this item. For example can I hook up a speaker bar, game console, and cable box to my television through the wall?

Yes, you can have mutilate cables running through the wall. I have two HDMI cables and a coax cable for the antenna. Just follow the instructions and you should be fine. I ordered this for my in laws so i can hang their television as well. Hope this helps.
