Great Product
This is a great product. It was shipped and delivered promptly and packaged neatly. Once I had them up in my windows the lights looked beautiful. I live in a Philly row home and the house next to mine just tapped their lights up so it gave me a great comparison. The Window Wonder makes a HUGE difference and looks 100x better then the rag tag way up putting up lights with tape and stuff like that. The best part is that when the lights are up they are all the exact amount of space apart which makes my windows look great. With that in mind, I agree with the other reviewer that getting the measurements correct was a bit difficult but once I had the first window done, I just used those pieces as a template for my other windows and got those done in no time. As to cutting them to size, I used a simple hacksaw, taking smooth strokes and it cut through the plastic like butter, no problem at all. I would also recommend using a file to remove the burs and smooth out the edges. Cut plastic is very sharp and can cut you easily. After having the frame complete I attempted to insert the lights and this is where I came across an issue. Trying to push the lights into their slot proved very difficult but I pressed on until my girlfriend suggested sliding them in from the bottom of the light and that worked like a charm. Total time spent on all four windows was about 3-4 hours but I was taking breaks to watch football while I was working. However, I plan on just removing the frame and storing it as is for next year which will save me so much time since I won't have to mess with a big ball of wires, hooks and stupid tape.I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone.

The horror - but nice ok it works
Hi, this product works well and looks good after all is installed-but a horror to put together. This is definately not for people with arthritis or non-arthritic people for that matter. The tips of my fingers were hurting for a week it was so hard to get each individual bulb into the sockets. It hurt so much to twist and snap the plastic frames. Hard to calculate where everything goes, very time consuming. I needed my husband to help me hold it so that i can snap them in. I needed for him to help me carry it to the window or it would come apart. When it was time to put in window it barely held on to the window frame. I do not think it is good for regular large windows, perhaps teeny tiny windows. Anyway with alot of sweat, cursing and arguing with my husband...thnx alot window wonder. I finally got it to work out...I guess. It stood up and didn't fall although by the end of christmas it was kind of coming off on one side...guess you have to constanly check it when you turn on the lights to see if it needs adjusting. All Horror aside. It did work. My lights are on there all December. I stored it away for next year-at least the horror of putting it together is over and all I would have to do is put it back in my window. Just Hope it doesn't fall apart in my closet-waiting to find out next year.

Raintree
These are very pretty in the windows but are made of rather thin plastic and have to be supported mid window because they bow in the middle on taller windows. We have used thin dowel rods hidden behind the window sashes on the lower sash to go from side to side. Extra packages have to be bought because the number of "joints" are limited in a package and are not available for purchase separately...so there is quite a bit of waste. Have white window frames, so I am able to leave them in the window year 'round and don't have the hassle of trying to store them. If installed near the frame, they don't show except when lit. They are rather flimsy and wouldn't hold up well to repeated installations. Best to only buy one package and try first.

Not without modification
I bought 9 sets of these to do all the windows of my house. Although when I finish they will be great I think and offer a solution to hanging lights where they won't fall down, they are a lot of work. I've been at it an hour and am not done one. Cutting the rods with a pair of pruners although possible is quite difficult. I've found that I need to cut the rods about 3/8 of an inch shorter than my measurement to get a good fit (the instructions say 1/8). And these are definitely not designed for LEDs I'm zip tyeing every bulb to the frame to make sure I don't have problems. I think it'll be worth not having suction cup clips drop the lights to the floor though.

Don't bother ! Flimsy, don't work with LEDs, etc
These will ONLY work with the old fashioned incandescent mini lights. I have yet to find any LED strands that fit into the holes. I either will have to drill out the holes, or somehow file down the LED's base to make it work. The plastic is too flexible and wobbly. I want to span a 72 inch wide ( 2 meter ) window and will have to use several hooks to keep it from sagging. They do not supply enough connectors - I had to resort to using epoxy to join several pieces.Overall not worth the cost and effort - it will probably have been faster to to use some 1 x 2's and simply staple the lights to the wood.

Window Wonder
A bit flimsy. Need extra support when in a south facing window as they start to bow over time. Not really worth the money.

Not satisfied with Company
The order seemed to have been sent after someone returned it. When I called the co. the rep insisted that wasn't possible. To make matters worse, the item was difficult to assemble.

Wasting time and money
What I dislike about this product ,that it doesn’t fit my windows at all they should ask the customer what size or what type of windows that you have this product wasn’t what I expected it’s not worth selling it’s for small windows
