A Dream - Good Popcorn Without the Microwave! (update after almost two years)
Tired of palm oil, we tried this and we love it. Pops every kernel and our experiments with various oils have reduced to using coconut oil, which is a great choice - tastes good and pops the popcorn fine. We have tried various powder mixes like nutritional yeast and garlic powder and will try other ideas. Once buttered, these powders stick to the popcorn better during tossing, after the popping. It's a quick process, too, by the way. Easy to clean. We're careful with it to not break the wands the stir the popcorn, since these are pretty fragile. However, everything has worked well and we hope it will continue to give us such good popcorn. Good value!___________________________In April of this year (2024), we will have had this for one year. It's the best popcorn popper I've tried. I tried air, bagged, skillet, paper bag in microwave, microwave popcorn from the store - but this way, when I follow the easy instructions, has the opportunity to provide all sorts of great tasting popcorn. We've tried regular with butter, cinnamon, cheese (nutritional yeast, believe it or not), maple syrup, maple syrup with a tiny amount of Fireball, and we plan to try many other ideas. Best popcorn I've had.ONE NOTE: to allow the popcorn to not be too soft, lift the side of the lid a little after about halfway and this lets any moisture unwanted to leak out.2025 UPDATE (6/15/2025): This is the best popcorn maker. Easy to use and it's still holding up well. We use this all of the time and so grateful I found this. No issues and excellent popcorn. We've figured out a way to make a finished maple syrup popcorn: put the final popped popcorn into a large bowl, warm up a preferred mixture of butter and maple syrup and salt, shake this mixture well in the large bowl to thoroughly mix, place it on a flat pan to place into an oven at a low temperature (200º to 250º) to bake it all together for about 20 minutes (temperature and time is something you can watch to not burn it), and then eat.

Perfect kettle corn popcorn, durable and well designed
Ok, i dont know where to begin..... I use to have a popcorn maker like this that was made of aluminum. Although it was good, at times the handle didn't turn efficiently. I decided to get this steel kettle and WOW!!!!!! I LOVE IT. This kettle is built perfectly! The handle turns by turning a center wire instead of gears, which makes it turn flawlessly. OUTSTANDING product. My entire family and some friends have already purchased it because they love how easy it makes sweet kettle corn.

The BEST popcorn popper I have ever used
I LOVE popcorn and I LOVE making my own popcorn, so much so I make popcorn 3-4 times a week. I have tried a number of different popcorn poppers over the years and while they work great they don't last. The non-stainless steel poppers tarnish and wear out over time so I recently switched to stainless steel poppers and I have struggled to find one I like until I purchased this one. Whomever designed this popcorn popper without a doubt understands the needs of someone who loves making popcorn as every detail has been well thought out.Pros:(1) The wood handle is comfortable and bolted to a metal rod exactly as a metal knife with a wood handle is. This means it's not glued on and will never come off.(2) The stirring rod is one piece that runs from the handle all the way down into the pot. This means no plastic gears that break and no metal gears that grind. The stirring rod is a flexible cable threaded through the handled and through metal pipe that curves on the top of the lid and down through the pot that connects to a metal spinner. This alone is worth the purchase. It is streamlined and efficient and no pieces to wear out or break.(3) The lid has a peg that fits on one end and latches on the other end beneath the handle. No more lid popping off or with a clasp that holds the lid on the side of the pot that wears out. The lid is seated and secured to the pot when you make popcorn.(4) A handle on the opposite side of the pot so you can use both hands to pour the popcorn out of the pot and into the bowl. The handle has a rubberized comfort grip so you cannot burn yourself.(5) The lid lever and magnet are just plain GENIUS. You have a lever that you use to flip the lid open that, when open lies against the handle so you can easily hold the lid open while holding the handle to pour out the popcorn and there is a magnet on the handle that holds the lever in place so it won't fall back close.(6) I have used this popcorn popper many many times now and it has not stained or discolored from repeated use.Cons: Literally none! This is hands down the best popcorn popper I have ever purchased, it's so easy to assemble and use and once you use it you know someone put a lot of time and effort into designing the perfect popcorn popper.

it burns no matter how careful you are
My family makes popcorn almost every day. We may skip a day here or there, but we really pop almost every single day, which is why I was willing to spend this much money on a stove popper. I thought it would be easier to clean. While the process of popping is easy for sure, even when popped on lower temperature and the handle turned the entire time to prevent sticking, it burns. I have spent HOURS scrubbing it since we got it, and we popped popcorn in it not more than half a dozen times in a month since we got it. I can't return it since we've used it, and I threw the box away immediately. This is by far the most disappointing purchase I've ever made.
