Fraser and Pare's Diagnosis of Diseases of the Chest (4 Volume set) 4th Edition

Good book!

Wonderful chest resource in 4 volumes. This is helpful for any internest, pulmonologist, or even radiologist as it blends clinical findings and imaging patterns to help create useful DDX. This is a classic set without comparison.

This book is an all time medical classic. It presents one of the most comprehensive collection of chest roentgenograms found any where. It's organization is unique in that it allows one to arrive at a diagnosis by starting with a particular pattern on a chest xray. The authors are clearly master clinicians. This is one of the best organized and most extensive medical text that deals with differential diagnosis. It is a worthy addition to any collection of medical books worthy of being called a library.

一巻から四巻までありますが呼吸器の総論から呼吸器疾患の各論まで疾患概念、病因、病態、臨床症状、画像所見、臨床経過等が詳しく記載されています。これほど充実した内容の呼吸器関連の本は他にはなく、論文等にも数多く引用されています。しかしながら画像が数多く引用されているため、他の洋書と比較するとわかりやすく読むのにもさほど苦痛を感じません。値段はすこしはりますが、頻回に改訂されるようでもなく内容の充実度からすれば極端に高いものではないと思います。呼吸器科医としては誰もが認める必需品といえるでしょう。職場に一つは必要と思われますが、私も転勤を機に購入しました。
