Tuff & Rugged!
As a Vietnam vet I know jungle hammocks! Probably better than 99. 8% of the population, and I bought two different ones from this Amazon site one was this Rothko which I’ll get to and the other one I’m not gonna say what name but it was made out of a very paperthin synthetic material if you drop a head of a cigarette on it it’s gone! Or an ember from your nearby fire its melted and gone you lay in it and forget about your pocket knife in your back pocket you’re going down! I just don’t understand how they can call it a jungle hammock, they wouldn’t last up through a breakfast in Vietnam! Now for this ROTHCO! Ohhhhhhh yeah Baby, THIS is what I’m talking about! RUGGED?….YOU BET! …CANVAS Baby, CANVAS! Now I Know Canvas isn’t for you new wave of ……people coming up, I dunno if your SOFT lil Fanny’s could handle it, this is a MANS Hammock, or a BAD ASS Woman’s Hammock! Rugged, Durable, will stand up thru VERY Heavy Weather, Terrain, you name it….if you want something that you’ll have the rest of your life ( if ya take CARE of it) THIS is the Hammock for you! ..HUNTERS? Never sleep on that Wet, cold ground again, and wake up with a Rattler in your sleeping blanket! Lol( like I DID! NOT Fun waitin that sucker out!) anyway……..ya got my point…..RIGHT! GET IT?…..GOT IT?…….GOOD!

love the idea
love the idea. I bought two and like an idiot did not test them before I went camping. 1 work great. The other not so good as soon as I climbed in mine the stitching came loose and I fell to the ground course it was a good laugh. guess I should thank them for that.

This thing is a fantastic addition to your camping gear!
Tent, hammock, mosquito net all rolled into one. It's well made and strong. Might be a little heavy for backpacking, but then you're also not carrying a fly and net. I added a dowel to either end of mine to turn it into a bridge hammock. Good stuff. Be sure to get the Atlas (easily found) or Python (good luck - they are backordered everywhere) hammock straps for ease of set up. A couple of carabiners make them even easier to set up and attach to.

Trash
I don't mean I think it was trash I mean a literal piece of garbage. The seems weren't "seemed" all the stitching was unraveling as I looked at it and when I finally set it up.( it was not set up when I got it and a ring was missing) as soon as I sat down on it.it ripped right down the middle.i only weigh 170. I have seven other hammocks I only got this one looking for something more rugged.it was worse then the 20 dollar ones I could get at Walmart. I'd show more pictures but I got so mad I just left where it was set up and I can't go back.it would remind me of how stupid I was buying this

Great buy
This was a great buy. The product was exactly as described and actually got to me a day earlier then initially expected. Its a little heavy but for the occasional hiker or camper its well worth the price.

Old design, less stable, and more trouble to setup than newer designs.
This is a sub-optimal throwback hammock that I cannot recommend based on my assessment of the design and use. Pro: It is truly an "all in one" system (less suspension) that has a tarp integrated with bug netting, integrated with a hammock. Cons: 1) As you can see from the photos, it is not the modern "gathered end" style camping hammock, cut to permit diagonal sleeping- it is more of a "bridge" style hammock, that is long and narrow (preventing the diagonal posture). 2) The long narrow form, and the spread ends make it unstable. I flipped shortly after getting in, and that has NEVER happened before in any hammock. 3) The tarp has SIX distinct tie points that must be separately anchored for the tarp to be properly suspended and spread. 4) The ends, which the bridge rope making successive passes through a large ring, has a random knot at each end that is unsuitable for forming and holding the proper shape for the bed. I replaced all four with a "blakes hitch" and was able to reshape the bed somewhat to make it more stable (shortly after I was dumped out, on a cold dark evening). I eventually spent the night in the Jungle Hammock, with a Z-fold pad and sleeping bag on a 30 degree night. Although I was somewhat constrained in my sleeping position (not wanting to drift out of the stable envelope), I slept well- but what a PAIN it was to set this up. Although it does "look cool" once you have it all rigged, get one of the nicer (and less expensive) gathered end types, which are inherently simpler to set up and more comfortable. If you need a tarp, go for something simple- it doesn't take much!
