Warehouse 13: Volume 1 captures some fun
The strange and fantastical adventures of SyFy’s hit series continue in the graphic novel Warehouse 13: Volume 1. A five issue comic series, Warehouse agents Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering chase down several artifacts that were reputedly part of the Lost Cache that disappeared over a hundred years ago and begin to suspect that a shadowy figure is behind their resurfacing and is working towards a nefarious end. The writers do a good job at coming up with interesting artifacts and powers, and capture the show’s whimsical spirit. And the artwork is also quite impressive; full of kinetic action scenes and rich texture. As fun and entertaining as the television show, Warehouse 13: Volume 1 is a must read for fans.

Perfect for every agent!
Only thing wrong was a slightly dinged up cover. However the pages inside were immaculate! Big thank you! Perfect for every Warehouse Agent!

Even though it's a comic book, oh, pardon me, a "graphic novel", it's a fun read.
It's worth your time and your monetary investment. A very fun read, and great artwork. Even though I'm an older guy, it was a lot of fun.

The team learns that someone is using an ancient device to mine underground for gold!In issue #2 the Warehouse teams heads to the Emerald Isle where people are disappearing. While investigating on what device could be responsible for the disappearance, Myka also goes missing, leaving Pete alone to solve the case. The team, consisting of Pete, Myka, and Claudia, travel to Japan in issue #3, to find the artifact that was stolen by a masked assassin, in which they must get involved in the criminal underworld. In issue #4, the team travels to the Pacific Northwest to retrieve the strange and dangerous artifacts that had suddenly resurfaced from the ocean floor, but waiting for them is the Lost Cache. In the last issue in this volume, the team comes face to face with their enemy, Viola Adair, whom has a deadly artifact.I have only seen a handful of Warehouse 13 episodes, but each issue in this volume keeps faith to the series, mostly because it has the same writers as the show. All the humor and adventure is intact in each exciting issue, making it a fun read for all fans.Disclosure: I received a free review copy from NetGalley and Dynamite Entertainment.

Graphic Novel with Style
Warehouse 13 Volume 1 TP is the best graphic novel adaptation of a TV show that I have seen. It contains the same humor, intensity, and interest level, as the three year old SyFy Network series. The plots held my interest - and brought me back to read more stories the more I read.If one is a fan of the TV series, there is no doubt that this book will be worth the time spent moving through the graphics and stories. Because the book provides no introduction to the back story that leads up to this book, it may not as interesting to someone discovering the storyline for the first time. The comic may have done a better job of holding the interest of a new reader if there had been a short prequel or appendix that set up the cast of characters and their role in the on-going plot. Even a seasoned viewer might find a brief review of help.Take time to read Volume 1 of Warehouse 13's graphic novel - the series has only been improved with these new stories.______________This review is based on a free electronic copy provided by the publisher for the purpose of creating this review. Dangerous Artifacts
Warehouse 13 Volume 1byBen MorseA ReviewThis graphic novel was excellent. I really enjoyed it. If you have ever watched the television program it is very similar to that show. As on the program, there are three stories and each of them connect together to make a good story. In this graphic novel, there are three artifacts that need to be found by Secret Service Agents, Pete Lattimer and Myka Bering before they land into the wrong hands and there is threat of the destruction of the world. Artie Nielson (NSA code breaker) and Claudia Donovan (computer expert) are also part of this great team. Artifacts are dangerous and powerful items from history which have been stored in a warehouse in the Badlands of South Dakota. You will have to read the graphic novel to find out what the artifacts were and who was behind the misuse of them. The graphics and humor are great. You will have to be sure to read this, it will not be a waste of your time.______________This review is based on a free electronic copy provided by the publisher for the purpose of creating this review. A mostly-failed attempt at a graphic novel of a fun show
First of all, I'm a big Warehouse 13 fan. Just finished binge-watching the whole series and it was a very enjoyable program. This review has absolutely NOTHING to do with the quality of the show. This comic adaptation of the series was okay; just okay. It hit all the points of the TV series - lots of artifacts, a behind-the-scenes mastermind, the sense of family, a bit of history on the warehouse, a bronzing - but didn't really add anything of note to the mythos. Another problem was that there was a different artist handling the book for each issue, so there wasn't any consistency. I'd have to say that the final chapter, by Gordon Purcell, was the best one of the series. At least he knows how to handle a TV-based comic book, after working on Star Trek and numerous other franchise comics.Oh, and the trade paperback is horribly overpriced; I've seen it priced on Amazon for $50-80 USD, and it is simply not worth it - at least not for what amounts to a fifteen-minute read. Get the comics instead if you're interested in reading this.

Feels like the real artefact
Comic book spin-offs of television series can often be great (Buffy and Angel for example), or embarrassingly poor (if you want an example from this category read my review of Fringe Tales From The Fringe TP ). But this Warehouse 13 spin-off is a GOOD ONE! It actually reads as a series of short episodes all with a steadily emerging connection that is resolved in the fifth and final story. The characters are well drawn and their patterns of speaking fit perfectly with the understanding you have in your head of how the characters on the TV show would speak. The TV show itself takes the Warehouse agents all around the world, so there's actually not much difference in what you get here than what you get in the show, apart from everything being a good deal more condensed, but it reads in the spirit of the show and, because of that, if you are looking for more Warehouse 13 fun, this is not going to let you down (like some books I have recently mentioned and am still wound up about). Cooles Buch
