Everything about this product met my full expectations

I've used Posi-Lock connectors in the past, and currently, with great satisfaction. They are ideal in automotive or hobby wiring where you want a solid and nearly permanent splice or connection, but you want the option to disconnect wires in the future without having to cut the splice or loose existing wire length cutting out a butt splice which is basically permanent. While some potential users might be concerned about the screw ends of the Posi-Lock connectors becoming loose, my overall experience is that if you tighten them down sufficiently when doing your wiring or installation, they are unlikely to come loose. In fact, I've had many times more crimp connectors come loose and cause intermittent wiring issue than the Posi-Lock connectors. Plus, if you really have to disassemble your project and re-wire it, nothing is better than Posi-Lock, just unscrew and release, your wiring can be reused without needing to be cut and stripped, and the Posi-Lock connector itself can also be reused. No butt splice out there can do that.There are fakes and substitutes out there. They are junk. Don't buy them, even if they are less expensive, they won't work as well, won't stay locked as well, and they might be difficult to disconnect and reuse.

you are doing exposed wiring under the hood of your car and you care about how they look which is what I used them for and their use was recommended on a web page by an expert. I am not disputing his expertise nor am I disputing what the company advertises them to do - they do exactly that. I am simply saying that if you are doing wiring in a visible location with them and you care about how the splices will look, this is not the correct product for that type of application.

I've been using posi-locks and posi-taps for a while now and have found them to work really well, most of the time. Makes for a more secure connection than either solder+heat shrink or butt connectors, though you need to insure your wire is fastened into the connector properly. 30,000 miles and these things are solid. Unfortunately, these are expensive, but new, innovative gizmos usually are. 3 starts for value, 4 stars for ease of install, 5 stars overall because these are the way to go.

If the end of the wires are stripped you can not go wrong with this connector. No tools needed. MUST HAVE!!!

My second time using these and they are the best darn connectors - PERIOD! Especially for temporary connectors. Not that they won't last because they will, but because you can use them over and over again. They seem to never wear out, and hold strong.

Nice idea that works. A bit finiky to install, but worth the effort.
