SKLZ Accustick Tension Relief Self-Massage Stick, Lightweight, Yellow

As someone who works at a computer for long periods and likes to stay active, this product has really helped me. After a long day at office I use it to relieve the tension in my upper neck and back muscles. First, using a pulling motion, then a rubbing up-down motion - helps so much. Sometimes, I can't go in for a massage and turn to the Accustick, which quickly does the job of alleviating my pain in minutes. I do repetitive activities, so tight muscles are inevitable. I have used the theracane before, but its too intimidating for me, all the knobs and things on it, and it just does not fit my lifestyle. Not only can I get into my deep back muscles, but I can also use it as a massage stick and roll out my lower legs after squats, or cycling - I don't want to use the foam roller because of the positions required post-workout are tiring. In post-session when I roll out my legs, I have used lotion on bare skin, or over clothes to help it glide smoother. I use the Accustick in a normal sitting position and relax into it. It's better than a lacrosse ball because I can position the accuballs - just lay on them and use gravity to release the muscle knots. There are so many ways to use this product, I use it everyday. I also like the color and it makes me happy. This product is wonderful and highly recommend it, plus the price can't be beat.

I'm so glad I bought this because it has literally changed my life. I suffer from chronic low back pain. Most days there's an area that tightens up shortly after I wake up. As soon as I feel it, I position the ball (the one at the end of the curve) right on the tight, painful spot. I can get enough force with this design (I've tried the bigger ones) to really work it. Check out the video of what I do. Before I started using this massage tool, I would usually get worse throughout the day, not workout, and go to bed with a sore back. The pain relief is not immediate, it takes about 20 minutes after I use it. Almost like taking an Aleve, but without all the nasty consequences. But with less pain, I can work out more, which makes me stronger, and I recover faster. I think I'm less prone to injury as well. No more "I can't work out today because I'm too sore." I just nip it in the bud early, and I'm good to go. UPDATE: May be a cure eventually...only need it about once/week now, was daily.

This is the only brand that I've found on here that makes this shape - which is why I got it, and it's great for getting all those tense muscles! The triangular size is awesome on the calves and thighs. Only issue I have is the "hook" on one end is too small, once you put it over your shoulder there's no room to massage - should be a bit wider. Can't imagine how larger males with wider shoulders could use that part. Wish it came in a larger size. Apart from that it's a great design, solid material, not flimsy at all.

Here's why I love this product. The size. It's similar to other trigger point therapy tools I have but the others are so long (I'm a 5'2" female) that I can't comfortably sit and use them properly without the bottom of it hitting a chair, or a sofa or just getting in the way. Other tools have too many bells and whistles and too many things jutting out...I find these two knobs do everything I need and I no longer even want to keep the other tools around because this now replaces them and does it just as well or even better. This is solid, well made and just perfect for me! I'm very happy for making this purchase...

Product is good quality. It's not nearly like getting a real massage, but it definitely serves its purpose! Helps loosen tight muscles.

I was at my pain management doctor appointment and one of the nurses showed me her new stick. I thought to myself, yeah it’ll work just like all the others I’ve tried in the past. As soon as I started using her’s I was like OMG!! This works AMAZING!! As soon as I got back home, I came on here and immediately ordered one! I suffer from chronic pain, degenerative disc disease, Osteoporosis, bulging discs, etc. etc. I have SO many knots in my neck, back and shoulders and this has been a miracle at helping release tension and dissolve my excruciating knots. I use this every day! I highly recommend this to everyone I know who suffers from pain!!

Exactly same as $20 item at retail. Very simple, very sturdy. Gets that tight spot on my back, shoulder or neck that just needs some pressure point work.

A friend of mine has one of these and it’s amazing to use on the front of the shoulder instead of your thumb. Even on the palm. Better on my hands as my thumbs fatigue quickly if I use my hands to massage myself. The only thing is that I didn’t realize this one is plastic. I could’ve sworn my friend’s accustick is made of metal. Nonetheless, it’s a very awesome tool to have for body care.

Lamentablemente este producto al usarlo frecuentemente termina por romperse, el material parece resistente pero sí aplicas mucha fuerza (a veces se necesita) eventualmente se romperá. Ya tuve 2 y pasó lo mismo (en promedio 3-4 meses), ayuda mucho en realidad, se agradecería que hubiera una versión en metálico ya que la presión que hace al músculo de la espalda (que es en donde lo uso) es genial. Cabe señalar que soy una persona de 1.80 m y me gusta hacer deporte con pesas, el producto se me cayó algunas veces al piso y aplique mucha fuerza para presión en la espalda.

Muy parecido al Theracane en grosor y el diseño en bola de los extremos, pero de otro plástico (creo que es polietileno y no fibra de vidrio) y la mitad de tamaño y peso. Se ve resistente y tiene un año de garantía. El diseño permite agarrarlo con fuerza y funciona bien para la espalda y seguramente otras partes del cuerpo. Además es bonito.
