Great mustard. Tastier that Gulden's or French's.
I love this mustard. I found it in a grocery store once in Pennsylvania. Now that I live back in human civilization (New Jersey), this is literally the only thing I miss in the slightest. Fortunately I can buy it online. It has a really great flavor. If you think you like Gulden's Spicy Brown, give this a try. Instead of slapping you with a strong vinegar taste, it actually just tastes really good. And it's not meek & mild like the standard French's Yellow Mustard.

Finally a mustard as GREAT as a kind we can't get anymore - searched for this for years!
When I was growing up my dad got this special German mustard every year at a German festival in Chicago. The entire family became addicted to this stuff & it became known as "the rare German mustard" because we could only get it 1 time a year...and we inevitably ran out too soon. Many many dinner conversations about the mustard took place. One year the mustard vendor didn't have it...yes, it's only mustard, but we were all devastated! We searched and searched online but found out it isn't allowed to be imported (don't remember why). Anyway, sorry to ramble, but all of that was to say that THIS mustard has FINALLY made up for the loss of our 'rare German mustard'. This is GREAT mustard & I now buy it in bulk packages so that I never run out! If you like mustard...try this...it's fantastic! :)

A Taste of Old Chicago
Cafe Brauer used to run the concessions in Chicago's parks and they had wonderful mustard for their hot dogs. This is the closest I have ever been able to come to that great taste - and based on some on line research this may actually be the same thing. My local grocery used to carry this but has dropped the Dusseldorf version over Honey Dijon and "Deli." I am so happy to find it on line.

Disappointed.
It's just a matter of taste, I guess, but this mustard does nothing for me. I was quite disappointed, because I was expecting to catch my imagination.

Very Good Mustard
Very smooth fine texture, great "German" flavor. Breat for brats and dogs and anything that goes well with a strong tasty mustard.

Good Stuff
I saw Koops win a flavor test on our favorite TV cooking show. I couldn't find Koops Dusseldorf at any local stores and the pack of 6 was reasonable enough on Amazon. We gave our friends that like this type of mustard some Koops and they all like it also. We needed a few other little things so that made the free shipping amount.

Love the flavor, nobody stocks it in the store any longer.
Totally unique flavor, Love the flavor, nobody stocks it in the store any longer. Used to be able to march down to the local store and grab a bottle but they stopped stocking it.

for mustard lovers
good, bold without overpowering. more sophisticated than plain brown. a must for wursts, white, red or brown. a great addition to your condiment selection.
