Great definition
I'm still working on my technique and cake lace recipes but the mat is holding up well to the experimentation. Good definition of the lace pattern.

It smells
I bought this mat to use to create an impression in cold process soap. I knew I’d have to cut it apart and trim around it. I couldn’t get past the fact that the entire mat STUNK! It smelled like burnt rubber, like something that had been in a house fire. I washed it thoroughly and it still smelled. It’s been at least a month and the mat is finally losing the odor. I haven’t actually used it cause I was waiting for the smell to dissipate. The actual texture of the mat doesn’t seem to be very deep, so I don’t know if the impression will be very “impressive.”
