Very sturdy, well made. It was easy to assemble. You will definitely need two people when it's time to put it in the ground.

I looked for a while to find a quality and reasonably priced mailbox. We are in a townhome, so we have to match, in style and color, what everyone else has. This was the one that meet all my conditions. I really liked that the base is metal, so weedwackers will not chip away paint and require us to repaint year after year. It is really nice and sturdy. Husband said it went together well. Looks really nice after install. I did find it just a few dollars cheaper elsewhere, but I like that it would come right to my house; versus having to go get it (pandemic) and that Amazon stands behind their products rather than having to go back to where I bought it and/or have to deal directly with the manufacturer. It was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. Would highly recommend.

I used the adapter plate and an oversized mailbox on this post. I had to fabricate a piece to attach the post to the plate since the plate is intended for a wooden post. I used a cheap and thin piece of wood ($2). Worked perfectly and due to placement it is entirely protected from weather. I couldn't find any other adapter plates or an additional piece that already existed. Reply to the review if you want guidance on how I made the extra piece.

This is a solid mailbox post, it looks fantastic, and I expect it to last for many many years. It is designed to mount the mailbox "side-ways" and not "forward." To mount the mailbox facing forward (along the direction of the mailbox arm), you'll need to modify the mailbox (not the post) by drilling additional holes in the bottom of your mailbox. This is what I ended up doing to meet HOA requirements. The difficulty of this depends on what your mailbox is made out of and how competent you are with drilling/measuring. Mounting the mailbox facing "forward" is definitely doable, but it requires additional effort.

Bought this box and post a while back. Just got around to putting it in this week. Very well built, solid and precise, and once the hole was dug, easily installed and went together nicely. Hoping, and it looks like it can, survive the snow plows this winter.

Very elegant, high quality look and feel. Heavy aluminum square tubing on post and arms. Heavy-duty screws and bolts. Nice quality satin black finish.I used a Gibraltar Ironside mailbox on an adapter plate and it looks great.Went together in less than 1/2 hour.Highly recommended!
